Gloria D. - AA speaker - "Me? A Drinking Problem?"
Gloria D. shares her story of alcoholism and recovery at an AA speaker meeting and she carries a powerful message. Within the first few minutes, I was completely attentive and listening to what Gloria was saying, waiting for what she would say next. She is a wealth of experience and wisdom and this tape is such a great example of how Alcoholics Anonymous works. Remember though, it works, IF you work it! Thank you Gloria for reminding me of that!
The Twelve Step Model has been utilized as a treatment for alcohol abuse and alcoholism since 1935. It is extremely important to know that help IS out there and addiction recovery is possible. If you are battling alcoholism, drug addiction, addiction or any other form of addictive behavior, there are people who know EXACTLY what it is like!
You can find out more at: www.aa.org - Alcoholics Anonymous Official Site - As should be blatantly obvious, we are in no way affiliated with them or any other Twelve Step Program. We are just looking to provide hope to those suffering from alcoholism or addiction.
It is important to note there are several ways for one to address his or her alcohol abuse treatment. Substance abuse is a very serious condition and has become an epidemic in today's world. Many people suffering with substance abuse need treatment, such as inpatient stays, rehab, or counseling. The importance and purpose of this video, and all our other videos, is to show that recovery IS possible and to give hope to those who are struggling with alcohol and drug addiction issues. Help IS out there!
From the book Alcoholics Anonymous: "In spite of the great increase in the size and span of this Fellowship, at its core it remains simple and personal. Each day, somewhere in the world, recovery begins when one alcoholic talks with another alcoholic, sharing experience, strength, and hope."
Every tape is carefully selected to ensure its quality and that it is entertaining to listen to. You can trust Odomtology 12-Step Recovery Media to be synonymous with the best online recovery material out there. QUALITY is our mission. This is why we have such a large and engaged following. Thank you. I sobbed right along with you, thinking of my own experiences and joys of being a parent... a parent who's child has been given 10 fold from AA the grace I have received
This Morning I asked my Creator for My Purpose in Life.... Listening to Gloria Today.... In God's hands, the dark past is the greatest possession you have.... That was my Confirmation and Yes from God!!!
Glorias Legacy continues on all over the country. She was a tremendous power of example!

Thank you Gloria! Talk about hearing someone else telling your story! God bless you!!!
So powerful! Thank you for this honest share!!!
Thank you for sharing your experience, strength and hope to help other.
I lost hope and also in sobriety did too. I been six years sober but felt that nothing got better in life. I receive social security disability and have been struggling. Staying at a hotel in Newington Connecticut and even in sobriety I lost my apartment and belongings because I been evicted. I haven't been very spiritual because I need help with my situation and stuck in depression and anxiety. It controls my life. I used to be afraid of people but through speaking at meetings sharing my story helped me get through with the anxiety and depression.
I absolutely enjoyed hearing her story thank you for this so mch!!! The key to the kingdom indeed!!! Having soberity is the best thing that ever happened to me im only 2 months clean. God willing more days and years. God bless to all of those in recovery. Stay strong and grateful

Wow, what a great message. You took us from the beginning of your alcoholism and how many times you hit bottom. I'm so happy your son and daughter came back, and you learned how to be a mother to them. Then when they were having their own difficulties with this terrible disease, they knew who to come to fir help. Thank you 😢😅
