He is dry firing, but the reason is to drop the firing pin for safety. Striker fired pistols don't have a hammer and therefore no decocking mechanism.

I bought a 19x back in December. Since then I put around 500-600 rds through the gun and hasn’t yet jammed. It feels good in the hand. People say you can’t “carry with it” but I’ve had no problems! I love the hybrid of the 19 and 17. Perfect combination!

Hey everyone! Still no problems! I’ve shot it in the brutal heat of Summer and in the cold showers of Winter and still no problems! Since then I’ve bought a 21 rd clip and it cycles like a champ! Every other time I take it out shooting I do clean it. If I had to guess how many misfires I’ve had since I have owned the gun I would say less than 10. Do I regret buying the gun? Absolutely not! Am I ever going to sell it? Never! (I have a total of approximately 900-1100 rds chambered through the gun as of 7/11/2022 )

Great morning with a new Hickok45 video - I've been waiting on this one!

I have both the 19 and the 19x I prefer the 19x. The grip doesnt make it that much harder to conceal. The trigger isn t bad, its the Gen 5 Glock trigger generally thought to be a improvement over older ones. Its lil stiffer but less mushy. Almost all Mil/LE triggers are designed this way. The competition barrel, Standard metal night sights, ambi slide catch, -even the lanyard loop and the tough as nails finish all pluses, esp of you work near water or your duties put you on a boat...Lose your expensive firearm overboard once and youll never call it a "Glock fan boy gimmick" again. . Accuracy is WAY better than my standard 19. Its a fine gun. Dont let a slightly larger grip , "mags that are universal with every other Glock" -(It comes with 3 and many other Glock mags DO fit.), And lack of a 'light crisp trigger"-(never fired a stock Glock that had one)-Broken in the trigger improves on all Glocks so dont judge any Glocks trigger on its first 500 rds/..The pluses are numerous even if they were poo-pooed and minimalized here.The shorter slide makes drawing faster and easier to clear holster and clothing, vital for a carry pistol-much more important than a printing grip. I work a busy range and see several hundred firearms shot a week-spend a lot of that time clearing malfunctions and correcting shooter and gun issues...And I have come to know models and brands of guns that will be junk or guns that will be/are lemons . This isn't one of them . Im not sure why this gun was trashed in a Polite Southern kinda way..lol..But it was obvious . . Labeling it as a "failed military gun" ect-Several other Guns failed as well BTW, Guns often win military trials due to influence peddling, pay offs, political ties to companies one and on.. I generally Enjoy Hickok's reviews, hes quite knowledgeable and makes the vids fun and informative, but I dont think he gave this gun a fair shake and came at it purely from a Concealed carry point of view. The gun is perfectly fine for and carried by many many people including myself from time to time -Notice he didnt have any failures and the gun performed Fine. Ive seen him give more glowing reviews to guns with far more failures; interestingly enough. if you bought one youll enjoy it. You may have t adjust what holster you CC it with or wear a lil more baggy shirt or maybe do nothing at all..but the plusses are worth any minor extra effort. Its accurate reliable, high Cap, night sights, durable finish, still light and compact enough to carry.

I love my 19X and I’m able to conceal carry it just fine.

I knew about these when they came out and they didn’t seem that amazing...until I saw one in my lgs today. It came home and I’m a very happy new g19x owner.

Just bought my first hand gun and chose the Glock 19x. I still clearly have my rookie stripes on for some time, but I love it so far. These types of videos are great for information. I also like that I can come into this without any preconceptions, etc. Thank you for the info, sir.

As I've said before the best way to know what the best gun is is to watch all the reviews on any given gun in what ever class and see which one is compared to it. And most likely it's the glock 19. Great videos and please keep it up.

Thank you for your opinion on the Glock 19x! I love watching your videos. I did buy one of these guns and I like the combination of the G17 and G19 because I truly couldnt decide of the 2 haha. I like the night sights that are factory and that it came with 2 19 round mags. Thanks again Hickok45!

My friend has one and I shoot it occasionally. I don’t own a Glock, but I do love this gun. It’s one of the most comfortable 9mm pistols I’ve ever shot. The grip ergonomics are addicting.

I’m a sig guy but I got the 19x and I love it. It’s the only glock that I wanted and it shoots like a dream

Own one and I really like it. I prefer the rolling trigger Vs. the typical, crisper Glock triggers. It is now my EDC firearm with a N82 holster. Thanks for the great review.

Love this gun picked up on blue lable as my first hand gun in good old Tennessee. Shoots great my trigger is nice and crisp (for a glock) never had any issues with it and I feel the factory 3 dot night sights are a massive step up from the usual glock sight.

I already have an M&P sheild .380 that I use as my carry gun but recently I was at my local gun shop looking for a full sized 9mm and man am I glad I stumbled across this beauty. Needless to say I got my first Glock that day and I now have a new Glock 19X sitting on my nightstand.

Love my 19x. Never failed me and I hit what I’m shooting at. Can’t ask for more than that.

First of all, I have to thank you for rescuing me from my own stupidity. I was a caliber snob at one time, and would only shoot either .357 Magnum, or .45 ACP. I had a Glock 19, but never fired it because I thought of the 9mm as a sissy round. Then, I saw one of your videos extolling the virtues of the Glock 19, and so I dug mine out and took it to the range... and I was hooked. I became incurably afflicted with Glock-itis. That having been said, I do have to differ with you slightly on the Glock 19X. I. Love. This. Gun. It feels better and more comfortable in my hand than any other handgun that I've ever owned, or fired. That slight difference of opinion aside, thanks for all of your work on these videos over the years.

I bought this 2 days before the release date from my local FFL here in West Virginia! I have one of the first runs of the release . I absolutely love this gun. I carry it daily and have zero problems . And your right, it’s a Glock it will eat anything you put in it lol. Awesome video Sir!!

Bought mine today. $595.00 new. It has night sights, three mags two of them has +2 extensions, unique slide finish and sand colored. Not a bad price at all.

Just getting back into fire arms but I'm glad I found your channel again! Had to unfortunately sell all my previous handguns butt I've yet to own a Glock so thanks for the review 😊

Glad to see yours works my buddy got the first 19x he saw and it's been absolutely atrocious. FTF, FTE you name it it's been back to Glock once and does work better but still not near what a Glock should be. Sadly it was his first Glock purchase I've tried to remind him lemons exist for every manufacturer but he's less than impressed. My main issue with it is it won't take any Glock mag my Gen4 19 will take any generation mag whereas the 19x won't take Gen5 mags.

Jimbo lxvi Nothing more disappointing than to buy a lemon. Had a well known 1911 that cost twice what a Glock does that was so bad the frame would crack from use.

Took one out for a ride today; I'm mildly surprised as to how much I like it better than the Gen5 G19. The balance feels spot on and the backstrap swell doesn't bug me nearly so much as it does on the full size Gen3 and Gen4 finger groove guns. Wearing one out in the woods with a Kenai chest rig while hunting wouldn't be such a bad thing I suppose...except it's not 10mm.

Just got a 19 X for Christmas and really love it !

Just finally picked one up.. I love it. Even fits fine with appendix carry.

The Glock reps must have listened to you about improving the trigger, because the latest 19X I picked up today has the best trigger I’ve ever felt on a stock Glock. (hey, that rhymes... lol)

Big Glock fan here, and I don't understand why some people can not grasp to understand this Glock 19x was not meant for the civilian conceal carry market. Therefore why Glock made it with the Glock 17 frame with a 19 barrel length. Its a military or duty gun made for OWB carry, if you plan on IWB with it more power to you.

Yeah, I decided to upgrade my membership to "Life Member" for the same reason, except it was not the media attacks; it was the attacks from supposed gun owners on social media. Even though everything seems bigger on social media than it actually is, it still motivated me to do what I'd been meaning to do most of my life.

They're either trolls or part of a coordinated disinformation campaign that's trying to sabotage the NRA's stance on the second amendment. Supposidly the Military perfered the SIG over the glock only because it was cheaper to produce, that being said the largest military in the world with the largest military budget in the world missed out on using the most reliable sidearm on the market

Glocks are not the “be all-end all” of the pistol world. Having shot all of them and being told numerous times for years by Glock fan boys, I prefer Canik, CZ, and FN. Personal preference, but to say they blow all other pistols out of the water in terms of reliability is something I highly disagree with.

The military chose Sig over Glock was because the military wanted a modular gun and Sig was the ONLY one to bring a true modular gun . That’s why they won the contract

When this comes out in the 19L for law enforcement configuration (Normal black finish) this will be a HUGE seller. Being in law enforcement I can say it has everything I need. Full size grip and a shorter slide. Shorter slide means presentation from a duty holster faster. Don't believe me? Try drawing both a 17 and a 19. I can skin that 19 smoke wagon much faster
