GLOCK 19X...WHY I LEFT THIS GUN IN THE SAFE

This is a tabletop review of the GLOCK 19X. In this video we will discuss the history and development of the firearm, and provide side by side comparison with other popular models to establish scale and help visualize what it would be like carry this based on familiar platforms. We will outline all of the features, and how these features may or may not be important to you based on your personal needs. Range performance will also be discussed along with different tested methods of carry and how comfortable it is to carry on a regular basis. Last, we will provide an overall opinion of how this firearm stacks up for concealed carry purposes. Thanks for watching!

Its also pointless because you can just use a 19 with a extended mag and sleeve. Glock just keeps making pointless guns. They've become so complacent it's hysterical. Every single Glock needs a ton of aftermarket parts just to compete, it's sad. I love the glock 26 and 19 but they really need to innovate and put some effort in.

@@coles2688 Wear a bigger shirt. Sometimes depending on where you level your pants & holster, you'll have a "sweet" spot where you can conceal it perfectly compared to other spots. so take the time to find out where it is at. Not sure your body type either, but if you have a gut I would recommend going to the gym and losing weight & gaining muscle since Appendix carry easier for skinnier people. I'm barely 5'5" & finally weight 145 lbs after going to the gym over a year (I was underweight for years) so if I can do it you can too buddy. Hope this helps :) Oh and a carry light can make your gun print easier if you choose to carry one so take that into consideration when you're conceal carrying. Look into the Surefire XC1-B or Streamlight TLR-7A. Like everyone says, the Glock 19X can be conceal carried but it wasn't originally designed for it so it'll be little more difficult compared to other offerings from Glock that are much better suited for it with around the same capacity.

19x wasn’t designed to be a concealed carry gun. It’s a service size pistol. The conceal carry world has completely lost touch with the original intended use for a sidearm. Conceal carry is fine when you need to conceal that’s where sub compacts rule. Any other time compacts and full size pistols are supreme and are the best choice.

I can conceal it very easily and carry it comfortably because of the lightweight. To each their own though. You definitely want something that's going to be comfortable for you to carry everyday or it just ends up becoming a pain in the butt and you end up not carrying because of it.So my advice is check out a few different guns before you choose. The G48 is also a good choice. I bought my Glock 19X in December of 2022 and I absolutely love it. The first thing I did was to get the slide cut and a Holosun 507C red dot installed on it, along with suppressor height sights. I also recently put the Glock performance trigger on my weapon and it is a game changer. I am a very large man at 6' 6" and 270 pounds so concealing this weapon is not an issue even with a tee shirt. The weapon fits my extremely large hands beautifully and the new trigger is a dream. I have no issues keeping on target at 25 yards with a mag dump of 17 rounds. This is my EDC weapon of choice and I currently have just under 5,000 rounds through it using several brands of ammo with no issues at all, not one, I am meticulous about keeping it clean and properly lubricated. Reliable, accurate, and beautiful, what more could you ask for?

I decided to buy an IWB holster made for a boot because it is a universal fit for full size, compact and sub-compact firearms. I locate the holster on my right hip. I bought the G19x first to try as a conceal carry gun, single stack because in the store/range the double stack was too heavy on my waist. I live in Florida and I didn't like how it printed under a t-shirt. Since "winter" only stays around for a month or two, we are in t-shirts most of the time. I bought the G26 next, double stack. Much better on the conceal aspect and lighter than the G19x. When the G43 came out, I knew this was my weapon of choice. It is lighter than the G26 and a little bit smaller. Only problem is you are limited to a single stack, 6 round mag. I carry an extra mag in the car/motorcycle if needed, but according to data, average shots fired in a defensive shooting scenario is three. The G19x and G26 now stay at home in the gun safe unless I go to the range. All three shoot very well, but G19x has less recoil since longer barrel. I started bringing my son to the range with me, 12yo, he preferred the G43, better fit on his hand, but recoil bothered his wrist. I bought a G42, .380, single stack, 6rd mag, and he loved shooting it. Very easy to control, very light since less grains than 9mm, smaller barrel and handle. I could not feel this firearm on my waist at all. I bought an IWB holster that fits around the waist using velcro like a weight belt. It has (2) spots on hip for left/right use, a spot on the belly for a sub-compact firearm, (4) spots for extra mags and a zipper pouch. Only the G42 felt comfortable on the belly when sitting down, but it is difficult to draw from that position standing or sitting.

I'd rather have a 19X than a Sig 320. The 320X would be ok, but not the thin weak trigger of the M18, M17 and 320. Maybe i'll get a 19X though a G32 is just as good.

I prefer the G45 just for the mag compatibility. I don’t mind losing the peanut butter finish, as it doesn’t blend in with my environment. I also don’t mind losing the lanyard hole in exchange, since I’m not concerned about the pistol being dropped off my horse into the fires of Atlanta during a Sherman-ordered cavalry charge in 1864. I do like the way the gun feels in the hand, and I’m accurate to 50 yards with it. Trigger isn’t really bad for a Glock, either.

You've given us another excellent tabletop review and discussion. 😃👍 I can see myself carrying this firearm on my hip and outside the waistband in a semiconcealed arrangement. While picture taking in the woods, my photographer's vest would hide the firearm, for the most part, but allow some printing to occur. Some printing is important for me to discourage any evildoers who might want to approach and then engage in smalltalk before attempting to commit a crime. If they see the weapon print, it might dissuade them. I learned that technique from a female backcountry ranger in Sequoia National Park. The 19x would also make an excellent home defense gun as well.
