Soo I have been told from a few people that the glycerin molds..Since this is the first time using it I haven’t experienced that myself BUT I will keep an eye on that and update you all as needed. I’m also going to test a few other mixtures🥰

I’ve been getting ready to start snow globe tumblers and out of all the videos I’ve watched on the different methods, nobody has done one video comparing all the different methods at once, so thank you for making this! And thank you for using the same cups and glitter for all the methods so we can really get a good comparison of how each method looks when finished, the perfect way to compare. Now I am off to make my own tumblers, thanks again for such a great video!

So thankful for you making this video! I tried the glue and water and I think that with your mixture you may have added too much glue. I have yet to find a good ratio to mix but I've noticed that if I fill up the cups to the max with no room for air pockets, it is a better outcome for the glue mixture. Shaking glue and water is going to give you the bubbly mixture that you are getting here. When the glitter is stuck at the top of the cup I hold it in my palms and shimmy the cup back and fourth quickly and it disperses the liquid into the glitter better. Hope this helps! Thanks again for making this awesome comparison! I really enjoyed it!

So I also make these cups and use the glue method. You need to add more liquid to the glue one, your getting bubbles because if you shake it, it sloshes around making bubbles. Also its much faster using condiment bottles to fill, so much faster than pippets. My cups liquid flow slower and suspends the glitter longer.

For me , the glycerin clumped up my fine glitter and there were chunks and all of it rose to the top if it sat still . So basically there would be some glitter at the bottom, the middle would be clear and the top would be the glitter (turned into chunks) at the top . The glue , for me that’s my favorite . I didn’t have any trouble putting the mixture into the cup using a syringe . I filled it up all the way to the top. As much as I possible could do there aren’t as many bubbles . ☺️

I agree!! I just tried the glue and water and I like it but I think I could have used more glue. I haven't found a legit ratio of glue to water so I'm testing waters. I also fill up my tumblers to the max, no room for air pockets whatsoever. I don't like that way they look half full of liquid. What ratio have you been successful with the glue and water mixture? thanks!!

Would you do a comparison of glitter types next? I am wondering if the problems I've been having with my glitter tumblers stem from the type of glitter I'm using. I'm using extra chunky but it is just sitting there and not falling.

I have used both the glycerin and water and glue and water and both work great! The key to the glue and water is using 1/4 glue to 3/4 water ratio, rather than the 50/50 like the glycerin.

I also think mixing the glitter in the solution before can help keep it from clumping in the cup.

It seems if someone wanted the same effect as the contact solution they could just use distilled water? cheaper. I just ordered some cups to start making these. Thanks for doing these videos, makes for good research as I get set up

I think the one I'm going to do as a gift I'm going to use the contact solution seems the most hastle free and guaranteed sterile. I've seen a lot of molded glycerin cups.... ick but maybe those people use tap water.... I'm going to do some as practice anyways before the real one and I had a few ideas Inwanted to play with anyways!

Will the loctite drip in? I tried using Furntirue bumpers to plug, and they are too big or thick for the cups I use. Without it, my gorilla glue epoxy would drip in and it doesn’t work very well. Will loctite take care of this? Thanks in advance!

I just watched another video where the glue was 2T to 4c water. When they used 4T to 4c(small snow globes) and it took the glitter 23sec to completely fall and looked clear. How much glue did you use?
