I'm retiring this year and Glen Campbell has been a part of my Life since childhood in the 60's. He was such an influence on "country/western" type music there's nobody quite like him. This song is lovely
Recently watched CNN's special on Glen Campbell, and it made me search for his music. I grew up with much of his music, and forgot how good it still is! Thank you, Glen, for the music!
I don't know if it's the age of people commenting on here or the type of music but I have never seen such nice comments on any video I have watched here and I have seen a ton, all types of music. It's really nice for a change not to see people fighting, swearing, or putting down who is playing in the video. ☺
August 8th 2017 , Glen Campbell passed away . He was 81 .

Watched his documentary a couple of years ago. Then here a couple of weeks back, I enjoyed the happy/sad aspects. I think my older brother, or mom had one of his albums in the late 60s/early 70s. Never realized how good it was till now that I'm older.
Not only has Glen have an incredible voice he is also a incredible musician. His guitar work is second to non. He has such a great God given talent. I love rock and roll but i have always loved Glen and i pray for him every night. I am my mom in laws care giver and i know what he is going through. I have lived it every day for the past 3 years. Bless Glen and his family.

DID YA ALL HEAR HE SOLD MORE RECORDS THAN THE BEATLES!!! I GRADUATED IN 1970 WHEN HE WAS AT HIS HEIGHT...I REMEMBER HIS LIFE AND SHOWS!!! JUST LIKE YESTERDAY..THANK YOU GLEN FOR YOUR TALENT AND MUSIC, ALONG WITH YOUR WRITER...
So VERY GRATEFUL for Him; he made me so very HAPPY in young years. The old Legends die but their LEGACY lives forever; thank GOD there were Video recordings, also. The Dude was AWESOME.
Glen Campbell had such a beautiful tenor voice.
This song goes out to my father Lloyd Leonhard.who was willing to trade me his Glen cambell 8 track tape, for my Charlie Rich cassette,Back in our days..xoxoxxo
When he was at the top of his game and the most famous he was the most famous singer in the world (Rhine Stone cowboy on radio all day long) and his tv specials were huge.
also .. aus ein zeitloses Zeit -.. die nur "Glen" mich erkennen lass -... Wichita for all Time -..
I love how they do the video like a photo album turning the pages.' I grew up listening to glen on the radio along with so many others the music that spoke with feeling and clarity .
Wow! What a talent. Rest easy Mr Campbell
Wichita Lineman is perfection. RIP Mr. Campbell
I'm retiring this year and Glen Campbell has been a part of my Life since childhood in the 60's. He was such an influence on "country/western" type music there's nobody quite like him. Not truly country but more of almost a folk type music when you really listen to the lyrics. He's honestly been a part of my Life more than I ever thought about until I heard of his passing. We lost a jewel and a true human being, flaws and all... RIP Glen

Good bye and thank you Mr. Campbell for all the wonderful music. You are a music legend and will be one in heaven too!
That guitar lead on Galveston. Someone pick me up off the floor, please. Mercy.
Have always loved Glenn Campbell. While riding in the car with my mom , my mom would say when a Glenn Campbell song would come on " Did you know he was from Arkansas? " My mom was from Arkansas. She loved him too.
He sings every song as if he wrote it himself, which he may have written some, but a great inspired genius delivery, rendition, and interpretation of even his own earlier songs.
Thank you Mr. Campbell for being a large part of the upbringing of my brothers and sisters. Raised destitute and impoverished in a small ghetto in southeast Connecticut, you were our hope, inspiration and reason for happiness. I pretty God that you liveda storybook life.
He was an exceptional performer.
If there is a God such as Campbell believed in, Glen is in his presence now.
R.I.P Glen thank you for all the great music!

R.I.P. Dear Glen.
Unbelievarble guitarist and flowing voice rythym.
Was in Walmart a few days ago and "Galveston" came on the PA. I was surprised to find myself suddenly stopping and getting chill bumps -- most unusual. I had forgotten how much I liked his voice. What a talent. Can't wait to see him in heaven.
Rest in peace Glen Campbell!
