    I started your gentle manicure approach at the beginning of the year. At age 70, my nails had been splitting and peeling for several years despite never using gel polishes. I’ve had a complete turnaround to healthy looking nails through weekly oil soaks, Kerasol, and the techniques you are describing here. OPI Repair Serum took care of my last issue: a nail that stubbornly split on the side. Forever thankful for your information and care routines! Thank you, Anna!

    I purchased the first manicure stick when you featured Gladyz products on a video a couple of months back. I agree that the pointed end is extremely sharp. I prefer using this when giving myself a pedicure. Thanks to your videos, the skin around my nails have healed and look great now. I give my spouse mani/pedi as well, and of course since the universe has a sense of humor, his nails look even more amazing than mine and grow like weeds 😂

    Honestly I could watch you do manicures all day! Even though I have never had acrylics or gel nails, I have never had such healthy looking nails since following your advice with oil, urea, handcream. I do have a glass file with a very pointy end but I prefer to use the wood orange stick. Thank you for the time you put into making these very informative videos! 😍

    These glass manicure sticks are a must for new parents. They are so gentle for filing newborn/babies nails. Much safer than clippers, scissors, biting, or peeling them. Highly recommend these for new moms. Safes a little if anxiety of trimming baby’s nails. I know it’s not their intended use but it’s an awesome one. It gives you more control and it won’t hurt baby’s skin like the edges of an emery board (however little) might.

    I always use this Gladzy tool! Thank you, Anna! ❤ I’ve found I can be gentler when I’m using the glass. I struggle with my grip because I can hold things too tightly. I figured out really fast to use the edge like you are and stay away from the pointed end! It really is sharp and I’ve pushed too hard under my skin in the beginning. I’m doing exactly what you are suggesting here and it’s so easy! If mine breaks-I’m immediately replacing! 😅

    Yes, some people just seem to have more sticky skin around the nails and they need to maintain that skin so it doesn't stick to the nail plate. Some people are lucky and nothing sticks to the nail plate and nothing ever stretches even though they are not doing anything special.

    I like your videos very much. Your advice is always helpful and I learn so much while watching you work even if I knew much about nailcare before. I do my manicure the same way with a glass stick. Sometimes I tend to press a little bit too much, so I get scatches on my nail. Unfortunately I‘m a little bit lazy with oiling my nails or using handcream 😬 I think, this would make things much better.

    I have the glazdzy glass cuticle stick and a German brand that is narrower. I NEVER use the pointed side on the nail plate because have extremely ridged nails. I raise the slanted side of the tool perpendicular to the nail to remove cuticle. The edge of the slanted side isn't sharp but it will catch and remove the cuticle very effectively. I only ever use the pointy side on the lateral nail folds to remove rough skin of hang nails. I lay the tool along side the nail folds and gently buff rough hang nails smooth. Because i don't use nail polish where cuticle would interfere w adhesion, seldom need to use cuticle remover.

    You are very welcome! I have the pedicure file from Gladzy as well and I like using them in my studio. They leave a nice smooth finish. Pedicures are very difficult to film so I don't have many pedicure videos but the file is pretty straight forward. At home you can use it after a shower or a bath. In the studio I use it after spraying the feet with 25% urea spray and leaving it for about 15 min (while I work on the toes)

  • @ReesePerry
    @ReesePerry11 ай бұрын

    Thank you for this information!! You are the best. In previous videos you mentioned if not polishing nails then no need to remove cuticle. If you don’t remove the cuticle, does it look messy on the natural nail and does it eventually come off on its own? I just use nail glow and I don’t feel like I have any cuticle or very little all. It is safer for my matrix for me to just nudge back my living skin and just leave the cuticle alone. Do you agree?

    If you care for the nails with oil and products like Kerasal (keratolytic/exfoliant/moisturizer) the skin functions much better and it sloughs off nicely with very little effort.

    Hi Anna, I recently bought a bumper-pack of orange wood sticks to use for nail/skin care, but after watching this video I'm now thinking of buying one of these glass tools! Do you find that there's much difference between the two? 😊🇬🇧

  • @TheSalonLife

    @TheSalonLife

    11 ай бұрын

    Hi Karen! Yes there is a difference! I should make a quick video about the difference of my 3 favourite tools. Orange wood sticks, Tweezerman Pushy and this glass tool. Basically this one is sharper and more precise. You also have to be very gentle with it. For a quick nudge back of the skin fold around the nails every couple of days I prefer to use the orange wood stick. It’s also very good for beginners.

    To be honest, I have a laundry list of stuff I want to buy. Maybe you’d consider collecting and sending me the items, of course, fees and your time covered. For instance, I’d like a diamond file, larger glass file than the tiny one I use (my hands are larger), a few more DD polishes, the European Catrice clear polish you wear daily, plus the Opi spa hand creams you showed in a video. I have adhd and it’s hard for me to stay on task 🤪

  • @TheSalonLife

    I would love to and it's a great idea but I'm in Spain so shipping files from USA here to back to USA (I assume) doesn't make sense. Same with DD. I can't even get it shipped here. Usually family, friends bring it from USA. Also shipping nail polish is crazy expensive. Postal service doesn't even ship it. You need specialised carriers. I wish the idea you have was possible because it is brilliant!!
