Glamorous makeover for this antique vanity
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
I have been wanting to flip this vanity for a long time. Its part of the huge collection of Art Deco depression era furniture I purchased last summer. I have had many different ideas and plans for this piece having had a good time to think about it. I had 10 or 20 good ideas so I throw a bunch of them at it and I hope you enjoy the result.

I love your videos. Your deep-dives into all the little details of how and why you take the steps that you do are so helpful to those of us that get discouraged or are timid about trying new things because of past failures. Furniture painting is expensive and mistakes are painful. Your explanations of how to avoid mistakes are deeply appreciated. I also like all the different products you introduce that I didn't even know existed. Thanks so much. Love the piece too!

Mistake are going to happen doing what we do, I know I have made so many of them. When it comes down to it they can be fixed or made into a feature. I constantly try new things but when a mistake is costly it hurts. If I can save someone that frustration and cost/time with a demonstration or a tip that so rewarding to me.
OH MY GOSH!!! You have such vision and imagination. That piece will fly off to a new home the minute you list it. This was a really fun video. Thanks for sharing!

Very clever. I wish your silver lines on the moulding would have been more consistent, though.
You’re really talented and you’ve got some great techniques. Really happy YT recommended your channel to me.

Thank you, I dont know if it quite shows in the video but the way this piece built up was amazing it starting looking good early and just got better.
I love how the art deco meets gothic & if I lived close it would come home with me 🖤🤍🖤🤍 I might would ask you to do the seat of the stool in the white fluffy material like the rug though 😉

I love to hear that - its such a nice blend of styles. I did consider doing the seat fluffy but I thought the silver would be a better match. I am gaining confidence in doing small upholstery projects too which is good.
like the finished product but think you should have glued your drawers for a tighter fit.
Very unique!❤
Absolutely love this piece…it’s brilliant 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
