PARAMOUNT :SO how do we marketing Gladiator II Trailer to a "modern Audience"? i know LET PUT JAY-Z/KANYE WEST NO CHURCH IN THE WILD! black people love that junk they love that 21 savage 💩💩💩💩 on Mortal Kombat so why not here!

I love that a movie/show about Roman gladiators is finally showing an arena naval reenactment. That's something every piece of gladiator entertainment has not done.

Tony/Ridley Scott, Denzel movies has yet to fail me.

I guess picking Lucius (the kid from the first movie and heir to the roman throne) as the new titular character is a smart move. It definitely weaves a fabric of legacy into the narrative. And yes, that is basically just Denzel being Denzel (in almost all his movies) but dressed up in period appropriate clothing, but he kinda gets a pass for me just because of how entertaining the guy can be as an actor.

I like how they did the rhino fight this time.

Don’t forget denzel starred with Pedro Pascal in EQUALIZER 2.

I actually kinda like the battle rap it sounds dope and gets the adrenaline going

Yeah, I've been seeing so many negativity surrounding the music in the trailer but I loved it. Def made me feel hype!

I’m looking forward to fan-edits using Hans Zimmer’s music for this trailer.

They didn't want to pay the original Lucius. Happens a lot.

Man on fire was tony scott. Denzel and ridley was American gangster.

6:57: equalizer wasn’t Ridley Scott. Harry did work on The Kingdom of Heaven and The Last Duel though and he’s one of the best. The scores for both of those are undefeatable.

As a roman, I am not reeeally convinced. The Gladiator was.... not realistic but alright that was great, Commodus was slain by a gladiator he trained with, who was on the senate's payroll. This is a bit over the top, the roman Ist century sword (gladius) wasn't a katana.... wasn't even sharp, it was a stabbing weapon. I don't know from my point of view, something feels off.

I didn't know that Hans Zimmer won't be coming back. That worries me.

I'll probably watch because Denzel & Pedro are in it. Judging by the trailer, the plot of the movies seems chaotic. Also, it looks like switched the actor for the character of Lucius. Too bad they couldn't bring back the original actor to play that character as an adult 😕

I agree: it looks chaotic, to a fault, in my view. Bonkers, even. What I don’t understand is why Scott didn’t cast Spencer Treat Clark as Lucius - he’s still acting. He was in Mystic River, for God’s sake. And the decision to give us additional footage of Lucius as a boy, with an obviously different actor in the role, is distracting. So, 30% of me thinks this looks promising; 70% of me thinks it’ll be as bad as people often think Scott pictures are. I might be seeing it their way for a change.

I intend to see it, but only for Denzel and Pedro. Nothing else is calling me to it. This trailer is shockingly weak sauce, even when NOT considering the godawful music choice. But alas, like I said, I'll be there.

It's probably a pointless sequel nobody asked for similar to Independence Day: Resurgence (2016). Then again, I didn't expect much from Cobra Kai or Top Gun: Maverick and they went well beyond my expectations. Eddie Munson from Stranger Things is a busy man. From A Quiet Place: Day One trying to save a cat to looking like Robert Downey Jr. wearing a Cersei Lannister wig. 😂 It's from Ridley Scott. It's 50-50 flip a coin stuff coming from him. Napoleon was a beautiful movie but was not a good movie.

I was bored even by the trailer.

Ahistorical BS. The real young Lucius Verus died before Commodus even became emperor. Ridley Scott and the writer David Scarpa managed to turn the story of Napoleon into a romcom and now they've made a joke of another movie. Even Mel Gibson can make a better historical drama and he sucks at it. Ridley Scott needs to stop making movies and do infomercials at this point in his downward spiraling career or at the very least openly market his alternate history BS as cheesy straight to video product.

I will not go see it. It reeks of plagiarism. It's just more of the same from the first film. Virtually the same situations, the same kind of characters..... 👎👎 Even the official movie poster is a copycat. Our hero grabbing dirt from the Coliseum ground.
