I've not see Aftersun, but boy was I an emotional wreck after watching All of us Strangers. The acting in that film from the four cast members was outstanding.

@@ThePatrioticTurtle I actually get kinda skeptical these days when a cast is super loaded. It often feels like an overcompensation. And lets face it, the big recognizable names and lots of glitz and glamour with action and special affects is designed to attract the Asian market. Look at the fast and the furious franchise. They would have lost over 100 million on Fast X but they made a killing overseas.

I can't wait to see Emperors Caracalla and Geta in this movie! They look insane and crazy and i can't wait to watch them on screen

I have a theory. Near the end of the trailer when the young gladiator was fighting the older guy, the mom looked concerned, my thoughts is that he could be fighting his own father.

Yeah, I think is also something which I'm conflicted over as well. Gladiator was a completely self-contained story so making a direct sequel to it that feels natural and connected is going to be a tall order. On the other hand, I'm such a Roman history buff that even just the aesthetics of being in ancient Rome is going to be something I'm gonna love to see.

I think it's a great idea because it's a continuation of the story, they have a chance to show the naval battles in the coliseum, and they waited 24 years. It would've been worse if the sequel came out like 2 years after the first

Joseph Quinn was also one of the Guards that tried to stop Aria from entering Winterfell in Season 8 of GoT. As for the trailer it seemed fine but agree with Eric that music wasn't it for the trailer. That boats on the water scene seems like it could be cool, will be interesting to see how that plays out.

In Gladiator 3, gladiators will be standing astride flying saucers. No need for rhinos.

Definitely seems like a passion project. Don't think it was done to make a quick buck because Ridley Scott isn't exactly struggling atm, I know Napoleon didn't do well but he's still one of the best directors around.

Looks good. It might not match the first (that came out at the right time/right cast/right mood) but even if its gets close I will be happy. Music-wise, he has gone with Harry Gregson-Williams, who has done a lot of films and also does a good job. Scott used him in The Martian, The Last Duel, and Kingdom of Heaven.

Harry Gregson Williams did the score for this. 🎉🎉🎉🎉

no did you pay attention at all? he was probaly a citizen of that city we see pedro pascal attack in the trailer. we see paul mescal hugging his wife in the water. thats probaly why he want revenge on "the general" like you hear in the trailer. he wants revenge on the whole roman army then says "the general will do." Also lucius wouldve been brought up in Rome as a noble even the next emperor.. this probaly takes place 100-200 years after

I agree with Eric I really did not care for them adding a rap song to this trailer a score would have worked better.

Part of this look cool, but based on a summary it seems the battle scenes are from a Roman invasion of Numidia...which has already been part of the Roman Empire for almost two hundred years at this point. Might be too much historical rage for me :p

I'm unsure how to feel about this. I mean it looks great, but it also kinda feels weird to call it Gladitor 2 as there is not much connecting the two asidfe from it still being in Rome. I mean I did see the one woman was back again. I am kinda confused about there being a black leader in Rome. Romans weren't exactly.... friendly to others.

I'm looking forward to this movie, but I'd wished that the trailer would have been a bit toned down. It feels like it showed us too much.

You guys should watch “The Smokers” Its like an old 2000’s comfort movie for me and i love it. But i looked it up and the reviews on it were that no one liked it so i kinda wanna see u guys hate on it.

It's interesting these guys mention the music choice for the trailer. I have seen multiple other reactions say the same thing and I actually agree. Putting modern music in a historical epic piece is not the best choice.

I saw this comment in another reaction video. ghostlee6434 quote- I agree that the song didn't fit the tone of Rome in that time but I'm tired of reactors who doesn't know that a lot of music that's in movies like this are from centuries later than that period of Rome. It's orchestra with violins and trumpets that's not indicative of what music was really played in that era. Just say you're used to a certain kind of music in films like these. Rap music isn't just for movies that involves the hood or the ghetto as you can clearly see in the whole world taking and using it in their cultures now. K-pop is just music,clothes and dancing that's taken from rhythm and blues from the 80's and 90's era of r and b. Country music isn't just played in movies about the south and heavy metal,rock and other forms of music doesn't have a specific category of films they're played in neither should hip hop.

Maximus and Maximus ceaser

One thing that's kind of dumb, is they didn't bring back the actor of Lucius, the boy from the first movie. This is an adult Lucius, but he's played by Paul Mescal in this movie.

I know a lot of people don't care for the song choice. But I actually liked it, and I think it will bring in a younger minority crowd to see this. Of course, the song won't be in the movie, and I doubt it was simply chosen because Denzel in it.

The original is a fantastic movie!
