i'd love Hans, but it's Harry Gregson-Williams, who has worked on a ton of movies including 5 other Ridley Scott movies so it should be fine. most of the time these trailers are produced by a completely different team, hired by the studio, whose only job is to sell hype and tickets, not tell a story, which is why they often don't match the movie much.

Marketing budget and production budget are completely separate. Comparing trailers for movies 24 years apart can only tell you that marketing practices have changed.

Seems as if the marketing team took a chapter out of Ubisoft’s book about putting in songs that make no sense to the trailer’s atmosphere.

The original actor who played young Lucius Verus is in this movie, but portraying a new character. They brought in Paul Mescal to take over the role, and went back and edited the footage of OG Lucius to fit the new narrative.....

Fuckin' ruined it, the rest looks OK, but Denzel, not a chance, turned it into Last Action Hero!

That's funny, in the original Gladiator BTS the producers talked about a cut idea with the gladiator facing a cg rhino (for safety reasons) and of course someone in the dev team for gladiator 2 must of seen the same BTS footage rummaging for old ideas and decided to pitch it and they did it.

Wtf?!? Ruined the movie for me. This is Prometheus all over again! The Writers Guild of America need better writers or not have their written work altered on set, so they can be held accountable for terrible scripts.

What they’ve basically done here is just added every known colosseum gladiator event and turned it up to 100 and done away with a soul and just made it basically a Jurassic world/godzilla type beast and blood fest without the brilliant moments of the first.
