We have been to Glacier Bay five times and it is everything you see in the video, and more. There are other fjords and glaciers but Glacier Bay is in a class all its own.

We were just in Juneau, for only 4 days, and that was definitely one of the trips I wish we would have been able to find time to do...nice to see!

We last went to Glacier Bay in August 2019 we could clearly see the Marjerie glacier was deflating and appeared to be receding on to land in one spot. I was quite surprised to find out from a ranger that I spoke to that over the years there has been no effort to keep a photo record of the changes in the bay. The first time I was there was in 2012 and the changes I saw between then and 2019 were quite notable. In 2019 we had a beautiful day, completely clear sky so you could see every mountain top. The winds were gale force and it felt very arctic indeed. We are very much looking forward to going back in 2022.

It’s surprising that they don’t keep records or photos on its retreat. We visited the Park last year, and we decided to go back again in couple of months this year, same as you, but in the back country instead of staying in the comfy lodge. Just wanna have a close and personal feel to this natural wonder. Can’t wait! 😜

They do keep records of the retreat. NP may just not have them. We have records of Captain Cook not being able to enter GB in the 1700's do to Glaciers. I am not familiar with records that Vancouver kept. I am familiar with John Muir's observations. He was very disappointed that Glacier Bay was glacier free. The glaciers have been retreating since the little ice age. I was quite impressed that this was mentioned in the video. I have a history with the area because my parents have a place up there.

Great video. I am very impressed with the true facts mentioned in the video. I never heard AGW and you must visit before this disappears. Hats off to Princess Cruises. Great history lesson while they did not directly mention somethings. It was the Medieval warm period that allowed the natives to live on those grassy lands. I give praise to them to mention the little ice age. While indirectly, they imply that this is a natural cycle. I wish more corporate giants would take this stand. AGW is a joke. It is a non scientific plot for the great reset and to create a one world order. Anyone that questions that should do some research. Look up agenda 21 and agenda 2030. These are their words, not mine or "some conspiracy theorist". Look up the WEF. "You will own nothing and be happy."
