Giving an Old Boring Flower Pot a New Look.... well kinda.
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Quick little weekend project to give a new look to an old concrete flower pot we had sitting in the backyard. Will in most of my restoration video I am always removing rust, this time I did the opposite.
Real Iron Paint is a water-based paint that contains real iron flakes. It exhibits a dark grey, metallic appearance and when used in conjunction with an Oxidising Patina solution will create an authentic rust effect.
The combination of both products replicates metal being weathered by nature.

I didn't know such an effect could be achieved . Amazing outcome , looks more like rusty metal than rusty metal would !!

Hi King, you could try this on a vice one day 😉
Very nice work there. Looks like you had a good helper too. I’m sure the missus was pleased with the results.

Cool quick project 👍 it's certainly not a boring old pot now. Some great painting skills there, someone must have been watching how dad paints. Great family project, looks like a new pot. Well done.

That turned out nice. 👍🏼👍🏼 You would've had fun getting it clean. Those things always get a layer (or three) of mould without being sealed. I've used something similar to Real Iron paint before, when repairing fiberglass water features. Strangely, but not surprisingly, being full of ferrous particles, it's also magnetic.

Thanks- yeah the scrubbing did nothing to get rid of the green mold. I used a product called "30 seconds off". Effortlessly got rid of all mold and is safe for the garden.😉

@@LittleRestorers I've used 30 Seconds Off also. Works very well. Great for the bathroom, too! I used it on my bird baths, after pressure washing on a low setting, then finished with the pressure wash. They came out very white! Sunnies on... 🤣🤣 A few layers of pond sealer & no more mould, even after a few years. Also, much easier to clean out.
Nice 👍
