Give your Tires a Deep, Black Shine that Lasts a Year Long

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Wet tires shine. With Turtle Wax Jet Black Endura-shine Tire Coat you can make your tires look wet like you just washed your car for a whole year!
The coating is a black tinted acrylic that covers brown or faded tires and makes it look like you just washed it.
I would recommend this product to a friend and I will personally be using this over any of the other silicone based products on the market.
New Tire Shine that lasts years (since one in video is discontinued): amzn.to/3pneiNy
Tire shine I used: amzn.to/1r5D3g0
Hose Nozzle: amzn.to/1Ujv9HL
How to make your headlights clear again: • Headlight Restoration ...
Month - How the tire shine is holding up
August- the tire still looks wet
September- the tire still looks wet
October- the tire still looks wet, but it is about 90% as shiny as it was when it was first applied
November- still at 90% and looking good surprisingly
December- at about 85% and I just went offroading again with the tires spinning in mud!
January- it dulled a lot and is at about 50% but the tire still looks "clean" just not as shiny
February- you can still see it but it is not really shiny anymore
March- it is still on there, but I really need to add another coat because it is pretty dull (but looks good when cleaned)
April- pretty much no evidence of the tire shine anymore
May- pretty much no evidence of the tire shine anymore

They make a black trim version of this stuff which I am making a review for too. Honestly, I think they are both the same product but different labels and packing. Dont quote me on that. I dont know if you can see it too well in the video, but I used their plastic trim coating on the fender flares and it is pretty good as well! Only time will tell how long it lasts and that is the biggest seller for me.

Using the Meguiars Endurance gel (got to this video a little late for the Turtle Wax). Works pretty well, daily driving my SS with some Goodrich tires...stays shiny for a month, but start noticing fade after a couple weeks. The deep wet look lasts for a good week. Overall, better option (slightly more work) than using spray on.

Nothing beats Greot's garage. I detail cars for a living and I have used every tire shine they make and nothing beats the greots black shine. It will literally turn mud black.I use degreaser to clean tires and wheels and after the tire is dry I spray on the greots and it will turn wet looking in a few minutes and it doesn't run or sling on the paint and it glistens in the sun. And they stay black for a month even after rain.

+Whatareyoudoingyouidiot - It may also depend on the tire age and the depth & micro-caking of the grime. And then it may depend on how well the washing step was done and in what temperatures.. ... Just a stab in the dark for possible causes.

+Whatareyoudoingyouidiot Given the single coat and he's admitted to mudding I'd say the duration that it held up for him is excellent. I have been a big fan of the Black Magic Tire Shine in the aerosol (foaming) can for many years but after about 3 weeks I need to re-apply it. It's cheap and easy to do but I after this I'm going to try it, my Mustang never sees any mudding and with 2 or 3 coats we'll see how it holds up!

Best tire cleaner is (Awesome) from your local dollar store. It beats anything out there. As for the tire shine, the tire will look good for a little wile until all of the road grime and brake dust starts sticking to it. I quit using any type of tire shine years ago. Just a cleaner with Awesome makes them black just like when new. If you have white walls or white lettering then all of the brake dust will make them dirty in a hurry with a tire shine.

I applied this to my tires from the directions on the bottle, I got one month out of the shine, began dulling after 3 weeks. I have tried every product out there that claims from 6 months to a year. A month is the longest I ever got, and that is stretching it. Those are the facts!

as much as i love his channel, there is no product on the market anywhere in the world which can keep tyres shinning for a year, the longest bive had mine for was a week and ahalf, it doesnt matter what you use it doesnt last long unless you keep spraying them which is a waist of money an pointless

Yeah, the best most popular one is Black Magic. Detailers use that brand. I prefer to spray it on a rag, then clean out the tire shine. More even that way. The foam & go slings off if you move too soon.

Chris: A misconception that I hear/see in almost every video on cleaning tires. The brown coloration you see during cleaning isn't dirt, It's oxidized urethane and plasticizer or mold release compound. Removing it exposes the undamaged urethane directly to UV, so so kind of protectant like the TW product should be applied. An less than good cleaning technique, that takes more effort, but doesnt do a good a job is using a sponge on tires. When you hear a wooshing noise as you rub down the sidewalls, they have a parallel striped grain, and you are rubbing across it. Rub with the grain to get down to the clean urethane at the bottom of those grooves. A stiff nylon brush does a better job than any sponge can.

I have found that wet sandpaper is the only thing that removes the brownish tint on the white letters. I believe the tint is actually oil permeating as tires are made from oil

I use purple power degreaser. the gal is about 5 bucks and I use it full strength. don't let it dry on there and don't get it on your skin it is strong. it does a good job getting the old dirty silicone dressing off the tire. you may need multiple passes if it has been on there a long time.

Blessed Mother use Goo Off to remove the brake dust from the rim and wipe the tire off ....wash the rim and tire ...let dry...get some tire cleaner and spray in the tire, let it dry, spray and dry about 3-5 times to insure the cleanliness of the rubber. THEN! spray wireless tire SHINE, go over it a couple times and I can promise you that it will shine for a week even if it rains

Well yeah, the reason is obviously cause if you are a person that off roads every weekend... Compared to someome that never does.... Then the longevity will differ. I know acrylic is tough... It's a pain to get off my nails 😂 so js. 5 months is a long time for tire shine. Just take care of them. If chris only used 10% of the solution and it lasted 5 months... Guess what that bottle will last you a lil over 4 years 😆😂
