Can you do a video of mistakes and how to correct them. You guys have been doing for years and we would appreciate a mistake and how to correct video.

As a NOVICE user who has used the product TWICE! FIRSTLY, love 😍 this product. Pro Tip 1: remove the tap around window and emblems while WET! If you wait till the dip dries the lines are HORRIBLE! Drap car w tape and drape first. THEN, come forward with the yellow/clean line tape. Remove the clean line tape while wet. If you like the look remove the tape n drape. If you missed a spot re tape withthe line tape. Remove while wet! check results. Tip 2: if you are doing your door handles DONT touch them for a couple days! The first time I did mine I left my car alone for a day. After 3 months, my drivers door handle had a bubble that burst. It's because I have to press my door handle With my thumb to open door. (Tesla). The second time I dipped I didn't use the handle for 3 days. Hope this helps. 💕

See we need more people like you David. You credited him for the great work he put together but also suggested something that would help his viewership and the people watching. I used the same method in my personal life and love to see other people using it as well

I have found rolling the tip of a toothpick in the small gaps has worked really well. Essentially the wood fibers pick up the dip like velcro and it just rolls onto the toothpick. Works great!

Do you know how long it lasts and how to remove?

You are changing what we DIY'selfer can do and I thank you. Because of you guys we can take what used to be only done with window tint or some new wheels. Now it's something just as affordable and my whole car looks new and badass. Thanks Fonzie, Brad And everybody else at DYC that's helped make it possible!

I have a 2020 Mazda 6 and I blacked out the front trim, rear trim, and window surround chrome trim. It makes the car look WAY more understated and a little more sinister. I highly recommend this, but FOLLOW THE STEPS! I spent way more time cleaning and masking than actually spraying, but the end result was 100% worth it.

No. when I did mine you want to lightly coat and let dry to tacky 10 minute or so and do another. I put 5-6 coats on mine. Has lasted 3 years so far just like the day I did it. I dont use automated cars washes though. Only hand pressure wash. The bristles on those auto ones will peel these after a while but some of them damn near take the factory paint off anyways. Autowashers = bad.

@@jamescole6846 I didn’t mean one coat. By single stage I meant there’s no top coat. Yeah, those auto washes absolutely destroy paintwork.

Looks absolutely fantastic! Question tho - when pulling up the excess how do you prevent accidentally pulling the HyperDip off the emblem/wheels? Do you go over these areas with an exacto first?

I watched you do the piano black on your 4Runner. It looked great. I would like to do that to my car but finances are really tight. I would like to tell you something random. When you look at your tires look for the yellow dot. It is supposed to be lined up with the valve stem for balance. If you don't it takes to much weights and you will run through tires quicker. I worked for a company called Parkhouse Tire.

You should add a can of DipCoat Protective Spray to the kit... or at least make it an option on your site when purchasing this kit. Great vid!!!!

This looks amazing! Realistically, what effect do rocks and bugs have on the front grille with the hyperdip? Would you recommend reapplying the spray?

thats toyota for ya. their clearcoat on the front bumpers are super thin. a blowing leaf can scratch the oem paint

​@@DuartJansen Powerwashingporn shouldn't affect it but yes, even if it was vinyl wrapped you still have to pay attention. For the lug nuts, that's a issue for sure. I usually do my repairs and I am careful not to ugha dahga the nuts. But in a shop they will and they will smirk lol. I personally don't do lug nuts, I spray wheels off the car and plug the holes

Hey, I think the next time you do one of these you should take some typical still angle shots (straight on, 3/4, ...) before and after.

I don’t know what to think of this. Have to see it in person.

What about a long term review of wheels. Brake dust and outdoor elements always make plastidip look rough. What’s the best way to keep clean hyperdip rims and make sure they stay looking nice? Please put a long term review of Rims

about to be a first time dipper for chrome trim/emblems. Are there any new tips when it comes to hyperdip when trying to do the bottom window trim? Or is the application the same as the regular dip products? (so tape right up next to chrome trim on rubber seal, peel away while last coat is still wet)

I got a concern in the wheel nuts if you need to replace brake pads... or any repair the coating will be damage any video in how to repair those

I didn't use pre-dip or clean inside the large 4runner surface area and now after every car wash when it dries up it looks wet dry (dirty) by the emblems. Is there something you'd recommend to clean it back up or is that normal? Thanks!

Hi, love your videos. I was wondering something and thought you would be the perfect person to ask with your experience. Is there any trick of some sort to dip emblems and car, but in different colors? for instance matt black car whilst the emblems are red ? Ive not found a solution so far whilst avoiding removing/reattaching emblems.

How’s that work with the lugnuts still in? It stays applied, and does not begin to flake/roll/peel away over time?

Would it be a good idea to plastic dip the interior trim? Like gear box panels etc!

Question my Tundra is Midnight Black metallic body paint, I am thinking of Shadow black for the wheels and shadow black satin for the chrome around the grille, bulge and front and rear bumpers is that a good match or should I go with piano finish on chrome around grille and bumpers. how is the feel of this hyperdip vs traditional dip? traditional spray dip can feel 'tacky' to the touch? is this a smooth finish like normal paint?

peeling off is the best part :) they should of got the swirls in there paint sorted and coated before the dip, but that's just me. But looks good 👍

Nice . Question ….. I have always used Plasti and now switching to Hyper ( ordered 2 cans this morning ) now with Plasti I have always sanded the surface with 320 grit for permanent coating am dipping my outboard motor lower case am I still good sanding with the Hyper first ?.
