    I agree with your comment. I believe those girls that put up natural hair videos are deceiving because my question is why don't they admit the truth and be specific about their hair type? They just waste people's time and want us to subscribe because they know we also would love it if our curls were a bit looser so it's as if they use that against us well I should say for the weak ones. Remain blessed dear 🤗🤗

    4C hair runs in different patterns and does have curls. Some are Visible while Others are Not Visible at all unless _(don't laugh😆)_ you look really up close or through a Magnifying Glass or Microscope. I don't know where the hair typing Community get that all4C hair has zero 0 curl Pattern. Now I do see how a lot of people mistakenly call their hair 4C when it's actually mixed with other types.

    Turned out really cute! PS: Loosely section your hair in mini pineapples using satin scrunchies and a bonnet for nighttime (just to avoid tangles for next wash day and to avoid having hair products on the pillow you lay your face on. We don't want to cause acne exacerbation honey lol) Also lol, another tip is to apply and work in your leave in conditioner while in the shower and then covering your hair with a plastic bag so it can truly soak in and give more definition. Then apply gel once you're out of the shower . I find that's less messy for me. You did well 🤗

    I absolutely love eco slay. I’m on my 5th day wash n go and my hair is still defined and shiny. I have learned with my hair I don’t need soak n wet hair it makes products slip right off so I keep my her wet/damp and work the products through and got amazing definition. Your hair turned out beautiful.

  • @ZJones760
    @ZJones76010 ай бұрын

    I have 4b/4c hair and I used to do the soaking wet method (Anthony Dickey), but I found I get way more definition and moisture starting with damp hair. To make sure you get definition you have to do one part that’s very important of Anthony Dickey’s method however. In the shower put in lots of conditioner and water and work it all through. the conditioner and water will cause the curls to clump and form, but you have to soak the hair and let the conditioner take hold. Working the conditioner through while adding water will help the water get into the hair. You can also shake the hair during this process to get the curls to pop. Wash the conditioner out when complete. Then get out of the shower and let the hair dry some some so that it’s damp. This way when you apply the products they won’t have to compete with all this dripping water. Apply your product on damp hair, respraying with water for slip when needed or desired. And boom. Definition!!! And you shingle some but it won’t take so much time.

    I love how your hair turned out. That leave in looks so good. It's a must try for sure! I'm a mixture of 4a, 4b, and 4c. My wash and go looks very similar to yours. I just don't do them very often. I did one on Christmas Day a couple years ago right before church. The whole process from wash to style took 45 minutes max, which is very atypical for me. I used the Camille Rose Sweet Ginger Cleansing Rinse to wash my hair, and, believe it or not, I didn't use any conditioner or deep conditioner afterwards; I didn't have time. Then, I think I just used the Shea Moisture JBCO leave in as a one and done. It's crazy how the right products for our hair can work miracles. TFS!

    It turned out really nice. 10:24 I was so relieved and glad you decided to be generous with the water and spray your hair down. At the beginning of the vid, the water used was not enough. Sopping wet hair is the best foundation especially for wash and go’s (as annoyingly messy as it is) and that made your leave in glide through and the process quicker. ✨

    Hey Jen! The wash and go looks very cute, my hair looks very similar to yours when I do a wash and go. What I have found helpful at night is wearing a bonnet or tying a scarf with my hair as is. I find you keep your shape better with the bonnet or scarf as all you need to do is fluff the top and shape up the sides, the pineapple pushes the hair up causing to mess with it more to bring it back down. I love the wash and go, it looks very nice on you the shape is just lovely!

    Such beautiful results 😍. I just got finish watching star puppy’s wash and go video and her results were gorgeous as well. Im excited to see more 4c girls try this. Maybe it should be a trend you guys do😃! I also love your technique on how you kept racking the product through your hair until your hair clumped on its own. I saw a lot of girls complaining on star puppy’s video about how individually coiling each piece will take forever, but star puppy’s hair literally lasted for 14 days and it still looked good! So please give us an update on your progress, because I definitely want to know! 😊

    Beautiful results! For preserving the wash n go doing 2 ponypuffs at the top of my head works really. I put a satin cap on top or sleep on my satin pillowcase. Before I leave the house or during waking hours I pull it back into 2 low ponypuffs for a bit to make it fall back down. Sometimes I leave the bottom section out if it’s gotten a bit too stretched. Consider picking up a blow dryer stand or a hooded dryer. It’s a major time saver 😆

    You look great I Iove the way your hair turned out. I have 4C hair and I just dread doing my hair it so thick and I had a perm and now I decided to go natural. So thank you for your videos.

    I’m embarrassed to say I’m some years into my natural hair care journey & this is my first wash & go tutorial 🤦🏽‍♀️ However, I’m SUPER excited to try this & see what comes of it! This looks too cute!!! I love it! My hair is much shorter so I’m nervous about how it will come out but we shall see. Shout out to my girl Verna for leading me here.

    Yesss ma’am!!! This is why I love being in the kinky club!! Even though wash and gos are a no for me, this was so pleasurable to see. next time I’d definitely put some oil on your hands, slightly rub it down a medium sized section, and do mini pineapples all around your head. It keeps the hair from matting up, and stretched.

    I like your hair and thought it was quite becoming. I had to experiment with the wash and go to find the right technique for my low porosity, low density fine hair. I've tried braid outs, twist outs, rod sets, raking, etc. and go back to the wash and go with shingling. My hair looks its best on days 3-7, then do the process again. I do refresh every other day by spraying my hair with a mixture of water, a bit of oil and conditioner.

    Toni I’m also in the low porosity, low density and fine hair category. I love twist and braid outs but because of my low density and fine hair it just doesn’t give me the look I want. I end up wearing a fro-hawk or puff or putting it away under crochet braids or a drawstring ponytail.

    For my type 4 hair I find it easier to apply my leave-in in the shower. While applying I detangle and section. When out of the shower I put on a shower cap to keep my moisture inside. When I’m ready to apply my gel the process is way fast this way. I’ve tried many different techniques for drying my hair. I found that diffusing gave me the best results. I don’t pineapple either my wash in go hair doesn’t have enough weight to that so I do exactly what you did in the end.

But unlike you, I gave up @ the same exact spot u wanted to. Perseverance I guess works. You encouraged me to try again. AFTER... I take out my braids 🤣 I did some box braids & kept it pushin

    Jenn Jackson I'm not even 4C hair type but I'm definitely Type 4 combo of A, B, and not sure from here (So confusing 🤔). I love to watch your videos, show support and learn tips that can be helpful to me regardless of my hair texture. I just call my hair "Many Nations" with all these different textures. So glad I watched this video because I just found out about the Ecoslay brand and the great ingredients. Seriously want to try the Banana Cream Deep Conditioner for sure. Your hair turned out gorgeous and so are you. 😊💖

    You definitely need a hooded dryer. The professionals (stylists) call it hydrate and define 😊 That's more accurate. It's really just another way to set your hair. The term wash and go really needs to be retired.

  • @naturalkinkycurlymarie7496

    @naturalkinkycurlymarie7496

    A wash and go exists, is Centuries Old and the term should not be retired. People just need to Stop Calling their Regular Wash Routine a Wash-n-Go. Many just don't know how to do it or realize that their Hair Type, Density & Texture will NEVER yield the Results they are looking for. Wash-n-Go is NOT for everyone. *_So many times I drench my hair in the shower or sink, cleanse it, apply all my leave-in & products on soaking hair and let it air dry while I go on about my business--that's a Wash-n-Go._* The problem is most people who try to imitate this don't have the hair type that will produce a million Curls popping after the Hair Dries and need to accept their pattern Or stick to a Regular Wash day routine. _Those whose hair takes all day to dry may want to use a hand-dryer & diffuser or sit under the hooded dryer for 15mins then let it continue to Air dry as they go on about their day._

    @@naturalkinkycurlymarie7496 actually alot of coily hair types and so called "4C hair" can curl and coil up when it is properly hydrated. Heavy butters and cheap oils/products have everyone thinking their hair type can't be defined. I've stumbled upon so many natural hair stylists on IG like @healthyhairbyangelique, @iamblackgirlcurls, @hydrabarsalon etc etc that do type 4 hair and prove that type 4 hair can have poppin curls. KZread has unlicensed unknowledgeable people guiding everyone in the opposite direction
