❤ yes! such a great video of so much goodness :) proud of you :) your surfing was excellent, especially the last wave of the first sequence, and that middle competition sequence, with the claims, which were rightfully done and well deserved. Your drops and early barrel lines drawn were perfect. seriously, perfect. great position, great stylish stance, and great fast lines drawn to get whatever speed needed to drive through them. also, im not an expert judge, but those series of waves where you pulled in and made it out through openings in the curtain seem low scored, did they not? i mean, what, ones for great great style, and guts to pull in, and make it out through closing sections? in any case, im glad you got the 5 and ended well in that heat. it was also very heartwarming and sweet to see the guys there to greet and congratulate you at the beach. it actually almost started to make my eyes well a little (before i had to resort to hardened nerves of steel) to think of that loving support and encouragement :) my only issue with the entire video is, why is Mike P doing my waxing and board caddy / caretaker job? PS- and a special lil shout out to powerhouse Caroline, who always makes me happy to see in your videos, (and in whatever others as well, but its sweet that she is in so many of your videos :) ok, tide is high and backwashing here because im about 3 hours late from dawn patrol peak tide (but at least i was doing physio at the gym and not snoozing ;), but i am not deterred. im outtie :)

It's because she's surfing pipeline. If you fall down that wave you land on the reef. Hit your head? You get Knocked out and drown. One of the most dangerous waves there is.

@@naten555 I got that part. But, there is still an aspect of CHOICE. Not everyone on that wave has a helmet on.
