it was wrong that he didn’t tell her he was bringing his brother with him for a DATE. I mean it would not be pleasant to have someone third wheeling while you are on a date with someone special to you. But that is NOT an excuse for her behavior. She was very rude in general not just “mad” that someone was tagging along. The way she looked at him just gives it all away. Brayden is a disabled guy and Karter can’t simply just leave him there as his MAIN caregiver. And some people just don’t cope well with a sitter even if he could hire one. We don’t know the whole situation there so we shouldn’t assume. I agree that Karter was wrong for not letting her know earlier that he was bringing his brother along on the date, but i’d rather side with Karter and Brayden in this one than Gwen cuz her attitude and behavior just disgusts me. She wasn’t just mad, she clearly did not like him.

I have a disability myself and personally it bums me out. In one of my old jobs I got treated unfairly and was reported just because of it, which has made it hard to accept for who I am just because I have a disability. One thing I can't stand about having a disability is being treated like a misfit towards other normal people!

To be honest, although she was in the wrong, I’m kind of with Gwen as not only did Karter bring his brother without telling her, but brayden shaking the table was clearly bothering her and Karter didn’t do anything to try to get him to stop. I get that he can’t control being anxious but you need to be firm when you need to.

Agreed. Should have told her before hand. But she shouldn’t be so rude about it. I get it. It’s a bit annoying. But if you love someone, you need to be understanding of their situation. Sure it can be annoying to have something like this happen. But there are ways to make the best of it. Also. I doubt he takes his brother with him everywhere. This was probably just a time where he needed to watch over his brother since whoever normally does it is probably away.

Agreed. Especially a first date. He had plenty of time to let her know. And he still insisted on bringing him along. Obviously Brayden has been alone before, so it shouldn't of been an issue to let him stay home. The both of them were wrong in the way they handled things. He needs to learn to communicate and she could have told him in a nicer way. I would of been pissed off to. I would tell him calmly how it made me feel and not in front of Brayden

@@wendydoe573 I agree. I felt like this video was trying to paint her as THE villain. But he was wrong for not being upfront about Brayden in the beginning. It was like, "SURPRISE". Brayden, I felt, was just an innocent bystander in the situation. Gwen should have taken Karter privately and told him in a nicer way how she felt. But Karter should have told her before the date that he had a disabled brother that lives with him. Brayden seemed like he was efficient enough to stay home for a few hours by himself. But if Karter still didn't feel comfortable with that, he could have asked a friend or neighbor to stop by and keep an eye on him while he and Gwen went on their date.

Tbh on the first meet her behavior was justified. I mean a date is a male and female it would be weird to have another person. And he told her friend that she was going on a date with him ,which again anger is justified. Brayden also was making a scene in restraunt. So you cant really blame the girl. She wanted a good experience with her boyfriend and not his brother

That last scene was really a goosebumps. It really teaches us how we should see the people and treat people. Just be good, Happy and help others. ❤

I don't think that down syndrome is a disability. I have an uncle with down syndrome and he's perfectly capable like anyone else. He only has some trouble speaking, but not enough to make a conversation impossible.

I really like how nice the brother is him and that he chose his brother instead.

My little sister called gracie mae has downs syndrome and ADHD so I'm literally in tears right now because it's so sweet to watch this and people with downs syndrome often have to live with a sibling when they get older and its so sad the way she treated him and the end made me brake down because its so cute to see him on a date and being so nice to her 😢😢❤❤❤

While the girl was wrong for how she acted towards her boyfriend's brother, he was wrong as well. If he cannot find a sitter for his brother, and must constantly have him around, then accept he cannot have a dating life. Just like, many single moms accept they cannot have a dating life because they are busy with work and their young kids who cannot watch themselves.

To be honest, if I were her I would feel the same way. A few months ago I brought him to my boyfriend's place because my parents weren't home and he wanted to go along. My bf treats him like family. I can tell u sometimes it's nerve wracking to date someone because u don't know whether they'll accept ur sibling

Tbh on the first meet her behavior was justified. I mean a date is a male and female it would be weird to have another person. And he told her friend that she was going on a date with him ,which again anger is justified. Brayden also was making a scene in restraunt. So you cant really blame the girl. She wanted a good experience with her boyfriend and not his brother

It’s not a shame for having siblings that has Down syndrome . One of my childhood friends has a older brother that has Down syndrome and he is a smart guy .

Ok but bringing your disabled brother on to a date and not even telling your significant other isn't really ideal. It's stupid that he says, "Were a package deal" and not even telling her about him UNTILL the day of date. Why she's being seen as the bad guy is really stupid on the writing part

Yes! I thought the same thing! Obviously it's not his fault he is disabled and needs help but he could've told her because it would make things kind of awkward.

It’s not so much of what you say it’s how you say it but in this case it was all of the above for her the performance she gave was disgusting and says a lot about her character.

@@jaymitaylor9937 Yes of course! I never condone being rude and hateful especially towards someone with special needs and she shouldn't have done some of what she did but I'm just saying it would definitely catch me off guard, and make me uncomfortable.

I'll preface this by saying no one should treat anyone badly for being disabled. With that said if I was with someone who brought along his brother on our date unannounced and didn't tell me upfront that I would be expected to live with his brother, I would end that relationship

Everyone is different in their own unique way. I loved the part when Brayden stood up for his brother. It was just so adorable! Even if people are disabled, you should respect them. I am actually on the girl's side. He can't expect others to put up with his brother if he acts like that; and he especially can't expect any girl to want to be with him if his brother is always going to tag along. People in a restaurant have the right no to have to sit through someone making a scene through an entire meal; and nobody should be expected to live with or always be around someone who is going to be problematic. There are always group homes.

I do agree that Karter could have better prepared Gwen for his brother coming along with him. So I can understand why Gwen may have been bothered by that. However, her cold and callous treatment toward Karter and Brayden was uncalled for. She made insensitive remarks, and took her aggravation out on Brayden when none of that was his fault. When a person has a disability, you can’t possibly know their struggles unless you’ve walked in their shoes. Gwen was more focused on the “embarrassment” Brayden was causing her, than the kindness and courtesy Karter showed her. Karter deserved much better, and he got it in the end. It is true that sometimes you don’t appreciate what you have until it’s gone.

Yea I agree completely, and she was definitely rude, but at the same time I think its important to let the person you’re going to date know that you are going to have to bring your brother with you everywhere, including on romantic dates.

There was so many tears shed through this video because it was extremely hard for me to watch. The way Gwen treated Brayden was extremely hard to watch. I have two brothers, older and younger and I grew up the disabled sibling. I have a developmental disability along with a developmental delay. I am so grateful that I grew up. I was just my brother sister. I am closer in age to my younger brother and I am extremely fortunate that his friends excepted me for who I am and not for my disability. I am extremely grateful that my older brothers girlfriends now his wife excepted me for who I am and not for my disability. Because I know much like this video, there are people out there who have disabled siblings, who are not excepted by their friends and or significant others. I am so glad the ending of the video turned out the way it did.

Luckily, my sister’s husband is the sweetest person ever he treats me like family and he treats his wife like a queen and yeah, he treats me good as well. He’s the best father ever seen and the best husband to my sister and he doesn’t mind if I tagalong whenever they want to go somewhere

@CoryxKenshin ReUpload I am physically handicapped as well. Not all disabilities are mental. I have an associates degree in IT Networking. There is some brain damage because of my Cerebral Palsy, and I am also on the autism spectrum, but I know how to read and write, I have some mental quirks, due to being on the autism spectrum. But, other than that I live a pretty normal life. I just have to use a wheelchair to get around instead of walking.
