My Mama is almost 80 years old & I am almost 60 & this is still our favorite way to spend a ladies day out. We hit the local thrift stores & Aldi’s or SavLots. Lol. Back before my Daddy passed, we three would make a day of it, but now Mama & I keep it to a couple of hours. We both tire out a lot quicker than we used to. Lol. We love saving money, but we also just love finding the old, nostalgic or antique stuff.

What a fun day and what excellent thrift stores! Y'all are inspiring me to search for more stuff I need from them like garden stuff. I don't know why I never think of doing that. I never had a girls day out with my mom but we would sneak out for lunch or dinner whenever she had the time to spare. Every time I see you three together it makes me miss her. It's always nice to see a family as close as you obviously are.

I'm designing a bird wall for my house also! My 101 year old aunt paints and she would paint different birds on card stock and send one to my mom every week when Mom was in the nursing home. When Mom passed and we cleaned out her room I brought all those cards home. I'm working on getting them framed so I can make my bird wall in my living room soon. ❤
