“If everybody has their own truth, then there is no truth” THANK YOU for saying that! We have talked to our teenager about this. The whole “my truth” statement seems like it’s no big deal...but it is major!

It's a huge deal. It's everything. Reality, itself, is at stake. Look at what is happening in American culture right now. It's being destroyed because everyone claims to have their own truth.

Hi, just read your comment, maybe I missed something in the video.. What about freedom on religion and it is every ones choice on this. Do you respect people on their choice not to believe in the bible?

Hi! Yes, I totally respect people’s choice not to believe in the Bible. I believe that we were given free will, therefore it is up to us to choose what we believe, and everybody believes in something, even if that something is just themselves. I choose to believe in God and ultimately the Bible. His word to me.

Wedding advice: You are just as married if you spend $5,000 instead of $50,000. That money would be better spent on a new home or other practical needs when you're just starting out. Pick one or two things that are super important to you & make them your splurge for quality. You want to have happy memories from that day, not debts to pay off. Loved this chat, even though I'm at a completely different phase of life now. So much wisdom to share! 🥰

As a young woman I was a "live your truth", do who & whatever you want type of person with zero good role models and zero direction. It left me so DEEPLY empty, broken, sick, used, jaded etc. I am now 40 and working toward healing all of it & I would give anything to have this talk with my younger self. ❤ I love that you are brave enough to speak on this in this dark world that Satan truly has a hold on. We need more young women like you

I never paid much attention to that sort of thing, especially growing up. (I've always been a t-shirt jeans / shorts kind of girl.) But with the insane gender nonsense being pushed in society, I think it's more important than ever to demonstrate feminine women and masculine men!

On the food topic, I found that when the kids don’t want to try a new food, saying “oh! Maybe those taste bud haven’t woken up yet!” really resonated with my youngest (wish I had thought of it sooner!). She has the best time imagining her tastebuds “waking up” when she tries something new. She also encourages her older brothers by using this language. 😊

As a traditional Catholic, I love your encouragement in natural family planning. I also completely stopped wearing pants in the last couple years and just wear dresses and skirts. I also wear a veil at Mass. People definitely notice and tend to treat me differently. I switched just because pants don’t fit me comfortably, but I do feels more modest now.

As a senior lady, I graduated from high school in 1970 so I’m 71 years old. I am always shocked that boys and girls have health together. When I was in high school the boys had a health class and the girls had a health class and we were not in the same class. And that was a public school not a private school. My health teacher was a woman, and there was no questions off-limits, and the discussions were very frank. I would not have been comfortable if boys were in the class.

I think they could be done separately but I think teens should be educated on both genders. The number of people in marriages not knowing how their spouse’s body work is astounding. Like… I had a friend who at 17 thought you had to take a tampon out to use the bathroom. Her mom wasn’t around and her dad didn’t know the vagina and urethra were two different spots. 😳

  • @BhappyD

    @BhappyD

Learning about both genders is extremely important. I do think there are many positives to both separated and inclusive puberty/body/sex education, and there should be a combination of the two, not just one or the other. Both are valuable and necessary in their own ways. My mother was very proactive about educating me on everything, so I didn’t really need to be educated by the school, however the public school I went to fortunately did incorporate that type of education with a combination of separated health education for girls and boys, along with joint. That way each gender has an opportunity to ask questions that may be too embarrassing to ask in the presence of the opposite sex, but it was also normalizing learning about and discussing the human body collectively regardless of gender, which is also really important. The human body isn’t something anyone should be ashamed of, nor should it be something that one gender should be embarrassed about the opposite gender learning or discussing in front of them. Only teaching children separately by gender just reinforces the stigma and embarrassment, especially for those who already feel that way or are taught that embarrassment, shame or secrecy at home. And a lot of that shame is usually carried by girls (boys deal with it too though). Girls should be able to talk about their period in front of boys without it being weird or embarrassing, but only having those discussions separately reinforces the opposite. And it also reinforces to boys that the female body isn’t something they need to understand. The reverse can be true as well. It’s honestly really sad how many full grown adults know so little about how the body of the opposite sex works, and a lot of that stems from only having gender separated teaching. So yes, for the sake of the kids who are too embarrassed to openly ask questions, separation is necessary, but it shouldn’t be the only means of education. There are positives and negatives for both ways, which is why a combination of the two is best.

You're doing a good thing in sharing things about life from a Christian perspective. Girls need positive role models in life. So few people really understand the Bible and what a traditional Christian lifestyle is all about. We all know why because the popular trends of the World are "pro" sin instead of "pro" Christian and modesty. Showing value for yourself and others is something that everybody can see as a good thing. Mennonites are some of the best at living a joyful Christian lifestyle and that is something I've always respected. Some people might not like the Mennonites way or the Christian ways in general but if people took 2 seconds and read the Bible or watch a vid it would be a transformation moment in people's lives. Keep putting out positive content and sharing your faith. You and your fellow Christian content creators have great people of faith watching over you because all of us share a common goal...the prosperity and future of our Faith and Values. Everytime I see Mennonites in my local area I admire the head coverings because it is so Biblical and modest in nature. Speak out all you want. God loves your bravery and joyful spirit. You show it every video.👩📣📖⛪

My 7, 6, & 4 year olds do a lot of laundry and dishes around the house but this summer we'll add gardening to the list. We also have several Nigerian Dwarf goats that provide a perfect amount of animal chores. Honestly I think they're the best pets! We have a billy goat and just had 4 babies so our children are learning about birth and the birds and the bees very organically just by watching! It's been awesome and I've really enjoyed answering they're questions as they draw parallels between animals and humans.

My kids (8&11) don’t have set chores but they help around the house and I think that’s essential. My mom spared me too much in her good intentions but the few things she did make me do are now the easiest for me to do on regular basis and of course I want my children to just feel like they know life and not worry about doing laundry or whatever.

Long time watcher, but rarely comment. I just want to say how thankful I am for the care and consideration that you put into your videos. I noticed in a grocery video once that you had notes of the shots you wanted to grab and it REALLY impressed me. You're not just putting out content to get views, but you're actually crafting it together to bring your life and message to the world. I really appreciate it. I watch a few moms and you're definitely the most prepared and easy to watch all the way through. Also I really appreciated how you were honest that you do put Mennonite for the algorithm and there's nothing wrong with that. It's part of you and your channel. I'm a middle aged Christian homeschool mom and I still enjoy your videos when it's toddlers and things that don't necessarily apply to my life. But you're fun and such a fresh breath of air. And the algorithm brought me to you because of the Mennonite tag. 😁😘 Also i was watching a video from Angela Braniff and she mentioned really enjoying your videos and editing too. That felt like you made it, girl. Lol. Good job, Mama. Keep up the good work!! ❤️🙏🏻🙌🏻

I would LOVE to see a video of your perspective on covering your hair/head. I have kind of been feeling convicted about my hair in terms of length, wearing it up or down, covering, etc. So I vote yes!

I agree with you on so many things..🙌🏿 some points I even wanted to cheer 😂 It's funny, I watched one video with you and your husband, I enjoyed it and laughed at stuff and at the end thought to myself: honestly, if I just saw you two on the streets I would NEVER think we have that much in common, but we do!! A lesson learned, don't judge people from appearance, get to know them, you'd be surprised! Fan here 🙌🏿, enjoy your day!❤

6 year old chores :) Empty dishwasher, except for fragile items Attempt to sweep under the table Set the table for dinner Clear the table Pick up toys Put books back on the shelf (& keep library books separated) Re-stock toilet paper And my 6yo loves to organize shoe racks when that needs to be done! We recently got a dog, and that’s been great “work” for the kids, too!

This last week is the first time I've ever heard the narrative that having your kids do chores is borderline abuse, which is absolutely insane to me. I have a 13 and 10 year old and we have a daily chore chart. My 10 yo has a physical disability but she still has chores bc our goal for her is as much independence as possible. Why in the world would you want to raise kids that don't know the basics of daily living!?! We homeschool partly so our kids can learn basic home ec skills that school doesn't have time to teach. I'm 37 and I don't know basic maintenance so as I learn my kids are also learning right along side us. This was a great chat, Megan. I have been LOVING your channel, thanks for sharing!

Great video, love these chatty ones. Yes please do the head covering one. I think you had some really unique aspects about a few things- why you wear a dress: it's feminine, it's ok to still love to talk weddings at any age, and teaching your kids to work at a young age: completely agree. God bless and thanks for wholesome content

I would enjoy a video about your head covering! I’m part of the group that would say that it was just for that time, but only because that’s what I was taught…I haven’t study it myself. I’d love to hear your take on it!

Yes kids should definitely help around the house. One day they’ll be living on their own & need to know how to clean, do laundry, dishes etc. I wish my parents would’ve taught me more about budgeting, money management, all of the expenses that go into getting an apartment/house. A lot of things I learned on my own. Hopefully I will be better with my own kids :)

I recently had my breast cancer risk calculated and one of the things you plug into the formula is if you are on hormonal birth control and how long you've been taking it. It can increase your risk. Thankfully, after you've been off of it for 6 years, the risk tied to the birth control disappears. I'm never going on hormonal birth control again.

Being a Christian mother and grandmother it is heartwarming that there are young ladies/Mothers like you who are not afraid to speak God’s Word in Love and in His Truth and on KZread too! Many KZreadrs go by the wayside and do content because they only care about themselves, money and material things.
