I want to gently add that for so long women were told that their births didn't matter. Healthy baby was the ONLY thing that mattered. In reality, the way a woman gives birth effects her physical, mental, and spiritual health in the postpartum period and how she parents! Studies have shown that decades later, women are still impacted by their childbirth experiences. Women in their 80s can often recount details of those days. People can have "good births" in all kinds of ways...from an unassisted home birth to a planned c-section and everything in between. The most important factors are very personal but usually include being heard, feeling supported, and having freedom to move as needed.

THIS is so very important. I had an unplanned non-emergency C-section and was induced and I so badly didn’t want any of that. Well actually, I didn’t mind any of it. And actually my first feelings about the birth day after a positive test were that a scheduled C-section would be ideal. I felt so much pressure in the following 8-9 months to have her at home that by the time the day came it was an induction, then a hard labour, then I begged for a C-section. This all sounds fine right? No. The sadness and guilt I felt over not having her at home and being induced and not being able to do it myself was worse than anything else. And it took a lot of reflection and soul searching to remember my first feelings and natural desire was to have a C-section. I was okay with it until so many people told me it was not okay and THAT is the problem!

I think your clothing designs are great. To me, your clothing line is like your personality. Jumping into a modern world but with modesty. Holding onto secure roots but not squeezing onto those roots. Seeing how fare you can explore with modesty but maintaining modesty. Yes. Modesty is beautiful. Modesty is comfortable. Modesty is creative. And people don't have to drop morality for fashion, they should apply modesty in fashion.

One thing I would like to see in the fashion world is a return to modest maternity clothing. At age 65, I am fatigued of seeing women with their pregnant tummies in skin tight clothing! We're happy for you, mommies, but we don't need to see all of that! Now, I'm not talking about dresses and tops by Omar the Tent Maker! I'm talking about styles that are looser, more draped, more modest....maybe clothing that has some expansion panels within it on the sides or something. There's got to be a way to do this. Megan, if you've not designed maternity clothes, maybe you can do so. It would help alot of women. Thanks for always being an example of modesty and beauty!

Megan your videos are great. I’m 74 years old and even though I’m in a different stage of life I still get a lot of inspiration. I’m even going to order one of your dresses. The light beige long sleeve pencil skirt. I’m going to get one of those shapers for under it so I look smooth. I’m going to rock it. I never buy new clothes so you must have made quite a impression. I like that you send Evonnie to school. You can tell she really enjoys it.

Thank you for creating cute modest simple clothing! I’m a teacher and STRUGGLE finding cute simple things to wear that don’t have distracting patterns or low necklines. I hate wearing pants and we have to look professional, which means either dresses, skirts, or slacks. I’m always on the look out for solid color pieces to add to my wardrobe, which it can be so hard to do if you don’t like patterns. I’ll be getting some of these pieces to add to my collection of go-to’s! Thank you thank you!

Such a fun chatty video. Your point about just praying for a healthy baby and being pragmatic about how to get to that point is so refreshing. I am a mama of four children aged 12 through 3; for medical reasons on my part, I delivered all four by planned caesarean under general anaesthetic. I have received much derision for this over the years, which I think is such a sad indictment on the amount of mommy shaming that goes on.

I 100% agree with you about keeping some things in your life more private (i.e., maybe not wanting to have your kids be on camera so much as they get older) and not finding it necessary to share every single detail about yourself, your kids, and | or your life. Funny story (well, not really funny but just more a sense of irony) ~~~ I was watching a fall decorate video last week on another KZread channel and she showed this wood cutting board that she then mentioned was a housewarming gift that has her families last name engraved into the wood. She had turned it around in some sort of attempt at privacy or anonymity. But in her videos she has shared (and in some regards I feel over shared) her husband's name, her kids' names, the city and state where she lives, the exterior of her home, all of the new decor and furniture pieces she has purchased to decorate their new home, etc. And I had left a comment about how I felt it was weird (not sure if that is the right word) how she shares all of this other stuff but flips the cutting board around when filming to keep her last name private. And in my comment I had said that with all of the information she has openly shared, if someone were so inclined to put pieces of that information into a Google search they could literally find out her last name, her address, her phone number, what her husband does for a living, etc. And someone left a reply that I sounded creepy and why did I find it important to know her last name. And none of this is true ~~ I am NOT some random internet creep nor do I find it necessary to know her last name. I left the comment merely as a wakeup call to not over share if she has privacy concerns because we live in an era of high technology that can be both a blessing (our best friend) and a curse (our worst enemy). So if you want to maintain your anonymity then choose some elements of caution. With KZread and social media being such huge platforms, we all just need to learn to be careful about what we are sharing, how much we are sharing, and whom we are sharing it with. So I definitely think you are extremely smart to be protective of your kids and how much you are putting them in your videos.

@@chelseamorris2346if you shop during fall/winter, most items are modest. Some are thin and can pass for spring/summer too.

Your clothing line is beautiful. You are so talented. And I think you are doing exactly what you should be doing in life.❤❤❤ I am not necessarily a “modest” girl, but I would definitely wear all of your pieces

I was raised to wear slips underneath my dresses and skirts. I absolutely can't bring myself not to.

I love this video! I am newish to your channel, and love your honesty! I love how real you are about being a better wife. Seriously, we could probably all do better (I know I can!!) And you are so right about men! Loved this! As a total random side note, your bedroom is so beautifully done. Do you mind (if you have time) sharing where your bed is from? Thanks!

I am SO excited to be decluttering my wardrobe and replace things with more modest clothing! I loove thrifting & second hand shopping of all kinds. But when my budget can include splurging im going to inherit. Its out of my comfort zone.. but honestly all I wear is black shorts & black shirts. Idk what happened but everything I own is black! I want to look nice & be an example for my baby girl. How cute you make everything look makes me feel like I can find the right piece for myself as well

I was induced 2 times with pitocin (out of 4 labors with NO pain medication) and I loved the inductions better than no pitocin labors. I guess my body needs a little more stimulation. The labors were shorter and I felt like less painful with more progress quicker. You absolutely can do pitocin without epidural ❤️👍!

Oh, I’m most definitely buying that lettuce sleeve t-shirt!! Did you read my mind? Because I get so frustrated with the more fitted button down shirt due to gaps. I love them so much, though, I wind up tacking them down myself..lol The lettuce edges are so my style because it adds a bit of femininity to basic pieces! Love, love, LOVE!❤ All the neutral colors would be great!! (Hint, hint 😉 Inherit Lol) Maybe a muted baby blue, too. 😅 Love the collection, Megan. Outstanding! Brava!

Hi Megan, loved your entire clothing range so much,as I've mentioned before I'm in the uk and unable to purchase from inherit range 😢 but if ever they head this way they will be my no1 clothing shop as the clothing is exactly what I wear and really is a hard long slog to find the right modest clothing items if at all. You look great and 9pm...I'm totally whacked come that time and already showerd and ready for bed 😂. Especially love the first mom & daughter dress ❤ absolutely gorgeous! I really really want one,I wear dresses all year round no matter the weather as I do exactly what you say, wear something over the top of them and pair them with some boots and I never get cold. Brilliant upload as always.

Wow sister. Thank you so much for sharing your 'I don't care I just want a healthy baby' point of view. I am a first time pregnant mamma and I have not come across that point of view yet. Everyone is just bashing hospital births and how horrible they can be.. I am very refreshed by your neutral take on it. It makes me feel less nervous about however mine may go.

Yes I agree. I’ve had 2 births at the hospital and the nurses and doctors were so helpful and supportive. No need to act like they are a bunch of communist bullies. Good luck with your labor ❤

I have 3 children and had all 3 at the hospital my first 2 were induced and my last was completely natural at the hospital. All I can say is educate yourself and know what to expect from every outcome. I was blessed with wonderful staff all 3 times. Not every birth story is the same.

Definitely interested hearing more about private christian school! We would need it to be a full day ( 6-7 hours) with our work schedules but we've loved our experience. I know other people aren't able to make it happen financially and we definitely are sacrificing to make it happen. But it'd be an interesting conversation for sure!
