I used to work at a massage establishment and while a pregnancy massage can be nice; I definitely would suggest giving it another go when you aren't pregnant because they definitely do stuff differently. You will also be able to have more range in finding a therapist that's good for you because they can all be so different in techniques and strengths. Most will encourage you to speak up if something is hurting or you feel some work needed elsewhere on your body or if they need to change the pressure. No one will judge or be mad❤ I can also understand the not feeling in control but like Josh said that may be a good practice for you. Glad you guys had a great trip! I know you mentioned it wasn't as out there as other ones you've done but to me a trip is a trip especially one you get to take with your husband let alone ALONE!

That looked like a really fun hotel to stay in! What a bummer about the lack of coffee shop options. Something similar happened to my family when we went on vacation to a mountain town after the summer rush. It was really difficult to find ANYTHING open on Monday & Tuesday.😬 I have to think about that when booking trips now.

Yes! Massage while not pregnant is a completely different experience than while pregnant. I highly recommend. And definitely speak up! They want you to be able to fully relax and unwind- more, less, that tickles- the massage therapists want input to customize/maximize your experience to be the best. It’s like ordering coffee- not everyone likes everything, and a good barista or massage therapist wants you to leave completely satisfied! 😅

I agree about the massage! I had one in my life, and it was nice. But the back rub from my husband is better because I’m more comfortable and I can tell him what I like and don’t like and where to focus.

I love massages, the deeper and harder the better for me! I never got them when I was pregnant because that wasn’t mainstream back in the 80’s. My daughter not only got pregnancy massages but also chiropractic adjustments per approval of the OB docs and they loved them and lt better and said they felt more balanced carrying their babies as the fit further along- the did the massages before the chiropractor who had special training and certification for pregnant moms and infants. I have a “spa” day once a month- I get a 1-2 hour massage, then head to my hair stylist for scalp/hair treatment and cut/style, then to my esthetician for a facial- I work with in patients at our local hospital and between being on my feet all day, bending over, lifting and repositioning patients for their therapies, my body is ready for what I call a rejuvenation day. I like Granger as a first name, use Ian as a middle name! Granger Ian Fox.

We never heard Josh's choice! Love how you two make the best of your time wherever you are. Thinking that as a country girl, you might be aware that if no one is walking around in a part of the city, it might be a place you want to leave....not always true, but often enough. It would be cute if you let Josh have his own table for breakfast and you could try to catch his eye once in a while. He gets his quiet time but also remembers as he wakes up why he's there. In my culture, our children have their dad’s (my husband’s) first name as their middle name! Growing up I didn’t like it, but now I’ve come around to liking it because it’s unique 💕

For 2 years now I have been getting a therapeutic massage followed by a chiropractor adjustment and it does feel like such a luxury. We are lucky though because our insurance cover it ❤️ I will say though that my massages are more of the “it hurts” variety but I know it’s doing good work for me!

Definitely tell the massage therapist if anything is uncomfortable or needs to change. I have many family memebers who are massage therapist, they have different styles, techniques, education, and specialites. Not all massage therapist are equal or same and the same goes with the spa/facility. I go to a place that has online paperwork where you can specify if you want a male or female, the pressure you want, parts of your body youd like then to focus on, if you want to talk or not talk, music or music.

When I first starting watching you guys you mentioned your little girls name and I loved it so much that immediately wrote it on my baby names list and now we have a little 1 year old called Evonnie! 💗

Heard the name "Crosby" the other day for a boy... thought it was SO cute!

My husband does not want to be talked to in the morning also…he has his routine!

I love last names as first names too! We have an Elliot (boy), Nora Claire, and Owen Collins (who was almost named Collins as a first name, but a lot of people thought it was used as more of a girl name now, so we just made it his middle name). I think Elliot Fox sounds nice! Oh, or Nolan or Pearson! We have a one syllable last name too (Polk), so I always felt like the first name had to be somewhat of a mouthful to round it out.

Sometime when you go to Philly again check out the Reading Terminal market, its got so many cool shops, my daughter lives in jersey shes in the Air Force and whenever we visit her we go to Philly, and to that market! Also if you ever want a quait getaway, its in New Jersey, but Cape May is absolutely beautiful, it has amazing shops small town feel with beautiful landscaping, flowers everywhere, just so picturesque!!! ❤❤❤
