I live in Arlington VA. It's so funny to see home on KZread. I think October is the best time of year to be in DC weather- and crosswise. You might like DC/Alexandria in December when it's all done up for Christmas. I LOVE Gravelly Point! DC is really kid and family friendly. There are so many free things.

The best get always are those that are not planned. A lot of ours when the boys were young was to get to the end of our road and pick what direction we all wanted to go. It made some of the best memories of all.
