Criticism NEVER occurs at dog shelters if a loving person takes a dog home. No matter how "ugly". All dogs are beautiful in their own way.

When one of my cats died, I wanted another. I told the shelter i wanted the one who had been there the longest, that nobody wanted. I got an adorable little grey tiger cat. Lily had been there 6 months, she was sweet, tiny, no idea why no one wanted her. She had an overactive thyroid, but no big deal. I had her only a few years, but she was spoiled, adored, and loved and I was glad I got her
