When I bought my first Rolex my wife was shocked and told me not to tell her the price of my watches; Deal I said.

That's one of my greatest fears, that when I pass away and my wife finds out how much I've spent on watches, 😭 she's gonna bury me in a used Walmart bag instead of a coffin ⚰️

I was able to get the dive bezel version of that watch made by John. It was delivered just before Christmas. I have never tried on a $5000 or $10000 watch but I can’t imagine it feeling like it would be worth spending that much on. Good point.

Damn! I didn't even have to say "Show Me The Money" 😂 Thumbs up given 👍🏽 There's NOTHING on a $10k watch that can't be found on any number of less than $1.5k watches, so to answer your question, No, no watch is worth that much, but if it puts a smile on your face when you strap it on in the morning, it's not a burden on your daily/weekly/monthly/yearly expenses (and you don't owe me any money 😄) Go for it!

Outstanding Answer, I have a Ginault Ocean Rover II ordered, $1800.00 . I think it will be my one and only watch.

Ginault says to never hand wind this watch. Keep this in mind. Love mine. Imo, many watches are worth much more than $10k.

Why use a movement in your brand that has hand winding capability, then tell your customers "never hand wind this watch" ? I'd lose confidence in such a company and would be reluctant to buy from them. I understand this is a weak point with Sellita and they need to changes the design fundamentally and fix the problem or make it a non-hand winding movement. This has been an issue for years. Totally unprofessional and snobbish when you don't care about your customers. That is my opinion.

I think a watch is worth 10K if the buyer prioritizes the satisfaction in owning a 10K watch. I also have a Ginault and love it, paid around $800 used for it. I think it's worth every penny. But to someone who prioritizes a different luxury item, or wants a big screen TV instead... then even my $800 Ginault isn't worth it, to them.

Short answer is no, I don't think a watch is worth that much... Would I be stupid enough to spend that much on a 'grail?' Probably😑.

I have owned 5 Rolex and 5 Tudors. Rolex is a good watch, but it's overpriced in my opinion. in 1979 a Submariner was $900.00 USD, that was expensive, now at $10,800 I say no way, time to stop.
