GIMP 2.10 Tutorial: Melting Chocolate and Caramel Text Effect
In this GIMP 2.10.4 text tutorial, I show you how to make your text look like melting chocolate and caramel, or like it was dipped in chocolate and is dripping! This awesome 3D text effect is actually not too difficult to create, and mainly uses a combination of the text tool, paths tool, and the selection tools to create the final composition.
Though I go through some pretty advanced techniques in this tutorial, beginners will be able to follow along.

Also I use "Shrink Wrap" a lot (Ctrl-J). I was curious what it does and it just centers the image in the center of the image. Hard to explain, center center? Just try it Ctrl-J and quite handy after zoom in or out.
im using a iMAc and the delete key is not working when I invert the dripy effect.. Can someone help me?

On the edit tab at the top left. Scroll down and find the "Clear" botton 😊

Hello! Thanks for video. um and i have a question : When i melting effect for text i cant creat new place for melting. how did you do that? which button did you use?
Struggling to make the long droplet effect, when I select the path it does not do anything therefor I can not bend it into droplets. Please assist
Thank you! This took me 2 attempts unfortunately, because on the first I made something crazy with over an hour put into it. And when I was almost done like 1 minute away, GIMP crashed on me
