Just like there's a Free Britney campaign, there needs to be a similar campaign so this sweet son of Laura Nyro can finally get his mother's very wealthy estate back from the stranger who's currently holding it. What a troubled life he had, with his mother dying when he was just 15 and her partner dying the next year, leaving her estate to a friend of hers who's ignored this kid for years and makes it much more difficult than his life needs to be.

Brett, He is Nyro’s sole heir. But Nyro’s estate fell into the hands of a non relative, a woman named Patti DiLauria, years ago. Even though DiLauria had a tenuous connection to Nyro, just as an ex-lover of the deceased partner of Laura, she is the executor by proxy, and openly expressed her censorship of bi-sexual Laura’s relationships with men, finding only Lesbian relationships appropriate. Thus, her disavowal of Laura’s son Gil. A small-minded injustice.

He sounds such like such a New Yorker (Brooklyn/ Bronx sound the same to non - NYers). Funny how some celebs manage to insert themselves everywhere...opportunists! Midler eluded me (that's just my taste) but I heard her speak and she is a hateful person. I don't care how talented she might be.

She left the estate to her partner and she gave it to a friend after her death. Terrible that they treated him like that.

Too bad her son had to fight to be there and there's a story about it somewhere and originally they only allowed him to have a seat weigh in the back of the nosebleed section and didn't even send him an airplane ticket and he had to fight to be there and receive his mother's award ... poor guy he shouldn't have had to go through that ... thanks to the horrible woman who got everything from his mother's estate and didn't want him to have anything and the poor guy was only a teenager when Laura died . Later the woman who snatched up the estate said she didn't think he was interested in having anything from his mother none of her personal effects or anything ... can you imagine ? ... well that's what she said . He shouldn't have had to go through so much
