read your comment while watching the reaction. well yep, you were probably almost right but more than just in singing that line moment. guess that's how much Peter adores her.

just discovered Gigi de Lana a few hours ago... just wow... one point i forgot to say after just watching a number of reactions. Gigi seems to have a magic of making viewers (reactors) think of 'she is singing only to you (the reactors) while she is looking at the camera'.

I have been a music educator more than fifteen years in vocal music and I am so impressed with Gigi's complete vocal control. Peter, I love your analysis. You are spot on with your comments on Gigi. You absolutely have to do a reaction to Gigi's cover of Better Days by Diane Reeves. It is one of if not the best cover that she had done.

You’ll also love her Better Days cover. What sets her apart from other female singers we have in here in the Phils is her passion and spontaneity. Other singers sing with conscious awareness of their vocal prowess that it almost sounds clinical/too technical, and so much belting going on. But Gigi tells a story and talks to us every time she sings, so the experience feels very personal and thats why we’re drawn to her. Shes also very humble - her singing is her way of helping her mom financially who’s battling stage 4 cancer.

This song is originally by Kaye Ballard, not Sinatra. His version has become the most iconic, because of the way Quincy Jones changed the arrangement, but there were maybe as many as 100 singers who covered the song before Sinatra. I really dig this arrangement by Gigi & her band so thanks for the analysis.

The 2nd instrumental intro was like a mission impossible kind of rhyme.

Oh my goodness Peter! I've been waiting for this for so long. This was sexy, swanky and laser focused tone and atmosphere. Also, "soft stuff she started with"-piece of cake. 🤪🤪✌ I'm so here for the Gigi+Peter crush team. Btw, did you know she and her band got into a pretty gnarly accident on a way to heir gig??? Look it up. Crazy how no one was seriously injured. They all proceeded with the gig but she passed out on stage.
