She herself change the style of the song. She is famous in that. Not just a good singer but a extraordinary musician.

Don't expect any crazy high notes from KZ. She had a throat issue (polyps) when she was young so instead she uses her creativity and spunk to compete against other high belter singers in the Philippines.

That's what I love about her. She did not let anything stop her. She took what she had, modified it, and proved that, no matter what setbacks you have you can still achieve greater if you are willing to put in the time.

KZ is a force of nature. She was born for the stage.

This version was "hell hath no fury like a woman scorned." Pure fire.

It was different genres in one arrangement. Jazz, rock, rap etc...And the dynamics of her voice, the runs perfectly aligned with every instrument that backed her up. Phenomenal.

It was a performance by KZ in a SInging Contest in CHina.

I remember way back before KZ was part of mainstream Filipino media, I remember in her audition, she mentioned that she had an issue with her throat (I forgot the term) and that prevented her from reaching higher range of notes. Thus, she often makes arrangements to the songs she sings to fit her range.

She's one of my favorite Filipino singer. Shes good changing the arrangement of the songs! Shes not a belter but she has that authentic tone and style in singing that made her different from the other singers!

Good evening Peter. America’s Got talent again had a singer from Brazil by the name of Gabriel Enrique and he had every one on their feet and got a golden buzzer. And of course I think made it to the top five but was eliminated. Such a damn shame. Check him out.

You were very close to correctly pronouncing her last name… that is to say, you didn’t (incorrectly) add a G sound to the NG part of Tandingan. So, phonetically, it’s /tAHn-DEE-ngAHn/. Soft T, accent on the 2nd syllable, & the A is pronounced as you would the A in the interjection “Aha!” Thanks for this amazing reaction and analysis (& long😅) video!🙌🏼

FINALLY, a "detailed" reaction to my "all-time favorite" live performance! Many reactors have tried, some have even done a good job, but it really takes experience plus 37 minutes to do KZ justice! Definately, continue to react to KZ! You've barely seen half her talents!

Also - if you look at 33:14 on your video, she caught her left earring as it came off, and you can see it in her hand after that point.

I always watch out for the notification of KZ's live on Instagram as it's like an intimate concert where she just sing for at least an hour, taking requests from viewers. You'll see how artistic and creative she is on the spot.

KZ's way. She breaks down a song to pieces, picks up the meat, and reconstruct the song into a brand new piece. A new look. New emotion. New message. New sound. Here while the original was plaintive, KZ's version is defiant and resilient.

You should react to KZ’s other performance in Singer 2018. She even learned to sing Chinese within 2 weeks without knowing how to speak Chinese. I call her the Filipina Cover Song Destroyer.

Her version of Lorde's Royals from the same show is amazing too.

Such passion in her singing. In the autotune in the beginning where she sings "inside your hand" you can see the pain in that phrase through her movements and face. Then when the normal part starts after that she has such flair and sass! With the jazziness of it, she reminds me of Erykah Badu-it actually had me feeling like I was watching her performance of Funky Nassau in Blues Brothers. I was totally ready for KZ to start a scat at some point. Then BAM that rap?! Totally surprised. Then to what sounds like Jazzy salsa? I am loving this. Your tongue comment had me laughing lol

Peter that was a great reaction yet again. This was my first time listening to KZ and WOW what a stage presence and voice. Like you I also rate Morissette. You don't appear to have analysed one of her best performances yet. “Could You Be Messiah”. It is sung with so much passion, stripped back to piano and voice and done in one take. What’s amazing is these Filipino singers don’t have formal training. They simply grew up listening to music and most have karaoke at home so their talents are naturally acquired. It’s akin to language fluency. The earlier you learn a language the more natural you sound.

You were right the first time you pronounced her name. It had been years since I found her and loved her from then. I was in HK before I was retired. I love all her cover performances in China's "I AM SINGER" contest. It was won by Jessie Jay but look how all the contestants and crowd and all. She is the best of so many in the country. She has her first movie and first International release titled "11:59"
