Can you pls share what is the "Default" and user-overclockable "Max" Power Limit?

On the Gaming OC, power limit is quite a bit higher than on the reference 4070. The card lets you set the PL to around 300W - which it never reaches in my system. With a manual OC resulting in nearly 3000 MHz on the chip and an added 1000 MHz on the VRAM and power limit set to its maximum of 148% in Afterburner, my peak power draw will be slightly above 240W. Since it will constantly run into voltage limits (and I'm pretty sure I can't raise the voltage above the 1.10V default max), I suspect that unless you do some sort of hardware-mod, you'll never get the card to draw anywhere close to its theoretical maximum. Still: It will reach 240+ pretty easily and that's 40 W more than the standard 4070s. Not sure if that means higher real world performance, but my benchmark-results with the card are pretty good.

Here is your next video because I am confused. How we attach the 4070 aero or gaming oc to the gpu bracket? I think the 4070 is much smaller in size compared with the Ti version. Does gigabyte sell the gpu brackets in their store? If there is any...

Gigabyte doesn't include the bracket in the 4070 for some reason. Only 4070 Ti. You could always get a prop-up kickstand for it. Not sure where you would get it but look for something called an "Anti-Sag Bracket. You might need to get two. One for the front and one for the back. I still think the 4070 needs some support even if it is smaller.

Thanks, yeah I know, but I also find it strange, since we have plenty of articles about cracking gpus, what GIGABYTE did in this situation. Also, if I may, I wish to know if the pcb is improved, the thickness of it. I am about to order a Gigabyte 4070 aero OC, but I am also somewhat in a decline. I asked from my seller to place the order in 2 days (Monday), but not sure if I must halt it, what your take into that? I love how beautiful the white aero is, it fits perfectly with my shadow rock 3 white cpu cooler and silent base 800s case with temp-glass window… As for gpu holder, I like the coolermaster argb tempered glass, but I wish to have the gigabyte as well.@@GLITCHEDZA

This is a Gigabyte one. It came with the 4070 Ti but for some reason, they didn't include it in the 4070. I have been told you can't buy the separately so you'll need to get a 4070 Ti, 4080 or 4090 to get it. Else look for a third-party one. I know, it isn't ideal. They should really make them available across all GPUs now.

is it ok to use the adapter? i dont have a atx 3.0 psu

I'm considering two options: getting the 4070 Founder's Edition, or going for the slightly cheaper Gigabyte card[which shownin video]. However, I'm feeling uncertain about which one to choose.

I had mine in two cases. bequiet Pure Base 600 first which is probably about average size for a midi tower and now the Fractal Pop Air RGB XL which is on the larger side for a midi tower. The card fit both cases, no problem. Although my chipset temps were quite a bit higher with the bequiet, probably due to superior airflow on the Fractal with its all mesh front.

I am really confused between 1. Gigabyte 4070 gaming OC 2. Gigabyte 4070 windforce OC 3. Gigabyte 4070 eagle OC How does these make difference in gaming performance and ML model training performance. Which one is the better choice as all three are placed at almost same price

Wish I could help with detailed information on this but I can tell you these cards are almost identical. They have the same core count and boost core clock speed. So there's no real determining factor between them all. It is simply which brand you prefer to go with. Also the design changes on them too. But internal performance and specs are the same.

Only difference is that the Gaming OC comes with 4Y Warranty when registering. And also better coolers between these cards. The Gaming OC comes with a 12HPWR Power connector instead of the regular PCIE 8pin of the others.

You can overclock the Gaming and eagle pc at a higher power Target they should be going up to 320 watts (when oberclocking) and the windforce pc can be overclocked less like 20-40 Watts less then the eagle and Gaming oc

brother shud i buy the 4070 ti super gigabyte gaming oc or Windforce/eagle one. I need a card which is compact and dual slot . rest msi and asus are expensive in india, they r priced in 4080 territory and i dont like inno 3d , zotacs , galax or colorful , im upgrading from Nvidia Rtx 3070 FE. please suggest and tell me is there any difference between gigabyte model in terms of VRMs, mosfets and phase design . are Windforce & eagle are really inferior to gaming oc model?.

The Gigabyte cards are mostly identical, to be honest. They obviously feature a different design so if you like white, you'll go with Aero. They all have the same Windforce cooling system too. They also all have the same clock speed and VRAM, same performance too. Even the Gaming OC model, while you may think it is better, it is pretty much the same. The only performance difference you'll see is on the Master/Xtreme range. But these are like 1-3% faster. The performance boost isn't worth stressing over. So the model you want is all depending on your style preference.

Same here. Still have my GTX 1060 6GB from gigabyte with a single fan. Now I have a triple fan GPU for the first time!

Why can't anyone show these cards from the top view when running in the PC. They fit in with fans down and bottom up, that view is what everyone sees. I want to see the rgb view from what is seen.

I have exactly the same card, but 4070TI and there is a bracket in the box, but I don't use it at all, my Mainboard is Asus X570 Crosshair hero wi fi (separately the card itself is long but not very thick and there is no sign of sagging from the slot at the Mainboard)

Good to hear. I have a chimney layout on my PC so I definitely need to use the bracket. That is because the port side of the card doesn't plug into the case.

The card consumes 200W of power and the recommended power supply is 650W

Don't strain the PSU, it becomes risky. Maybe some with top quality can run strained but I bought a 1k Corsair just to cover all the power I will need with minimal strain. I didn't need that much but now math is not an issue. lol @@Aphorism89

It is very heavy. But not the heaviest if you believe that. I recently reviewed the ROG Strix 4080 SUPER and it was close to 2Kgs haha. This 4070 does come with a motherboard mount. But if it doesn't support your motherboard, you'll most definitely need an anti-sag mount. @@CaptainScorpio24 I would even suggest two. One on each side. I know it might not be ideal but better safe than having a bent PCIE slot.

@@GLITCHEDZA i have asus tuf z690 plus wifi d4 motherboard . its pcie slot has metal enforcement . my 1 kg 3070 nvr needed any support and also rest 1.3kg 3080s 3080 ti FEs didn't need any anti sag suppprt. i think 1277gm of GPU is good enough wdout any support . what yuh hav to say bro .?

Okay well if you had no support before then you should be fine. I just would prefer to avoid any damage. I know even if I am reviewing a PC build, I have to remove the GPU from the motherboard when sending the case back because over time these things sag and damage even the strongest of boards. @@CaptainScorpio24

How long is this card actually real world? My case supports 330mm and this is 336mm. Is that with the bend on the bracket? (I hope haha) edit: my bad I thought this was the 4070ti

The Antec case that I'm eyeing supports up to 320mm length. I hope it is sufficient clearance (taking into account manufacturing imperfections / 5% variance)

comparing the 4070 with the 4070 TI is no use for me. My power supply is 650 watts and so I can only have 4070

you should be fine, max tdp is 285W for a 4070ti. depends what other specs ur pc has but you're probably not going to use more than 500W even at full load (unless u got some high consumption cpu)

Why would anyone be "surprised" who reviews GPU's that Nvidia would release another 70 series with out the TI ?? Nvidia always has. 🤔 Luv my 4070. It's a 1440p beast. 😎

@@johnnybanana8004 My son has the RTX 4070 Ti Asus Tuff Series GPU and hasn't complained about anything so far. Asus is pricey, so I went with Gigabyte for my 4070. It just basically comes down to how much your wallet wants to spend .

I've bought it yesterday and to me it's awesome ! No coil whine at all and I've played Hogwarts legacy with RT, DLSS etc everything at max, up to 2.9Mhz clock boost and didn't go over 197watts/57°C. To me it's a bang for the buck.

For someone with really sensitive ears and a desire for quiet without high pitched sounds or resonance, would you say this card would be a really good fit? I'm just looking for similar performance of my 6950xt but without the coil whine. I'm betting the 4070 can do that with its low wattage out of the box.

@@bryan4yeah 6950xt is a great & powerful card, way more powerful than the 4070 in terms of rast, but noisy (a lot of returns where I buy my stuff, unless it's the toxic edition with wc). I've returned a Merc 7900xt because of the noise before I've bought the 4070. I love the Ada package, even if the AMD software is actually very cool to use. I've just stepped to 1440p this year, and like you I can't stand noise, cuz I already have to deal w/ tinnitus. If you stick to an about 6-700 bucks budget I'd say it's a good go, but it's not the 4k-ultra queen. Now you have to choose between the power of the 6950xt and the quite & efficient 4070 😉

@@tonton1047 How low can you go with RPM in your Gigabyte Gaming OC 4070 in Quiet BIOS? I find it irritating that most of the GPUs come with 3400-3500 RPM fans that can be set no lower than 1020-1050 RPM because of the 30% limit. 4070 Ti is exceptional in that it can reach 600 RPM with Quet BIOS (allegedly need to turn off RGB to get to this level) and I wonder if non-Ti is just as good.

Upgrading from a 10yo iMac. Will this be better for gaming!?!? :D :D
