I was just about to note the same and no, I really don't think this is the case where simply crediting the original creators is good enough. The use of the footage here doesn't fall under fair use IMO as the footage is downright used for the exact same purpose as the original (monitor review), so it's not transformative in any way, and the stolen footage also makes for the majority of the video. Videos like these should be reported to YT by people who made the original footage.

I wouldn't trust this channel (or at least this video) because he is clearly using footage from other KZreadrs (as stated in the comments after another comment) and might not even have hands-on experience with a single display mentioned in this video.

Honestly i bought the gigabyte m28u and i like it just dont use hdr mode its much better if you tune the sdr colors yourself. beyond that it looks great playing games at 120fps for my ps5

@@mikebalaban3678 i just picked up a cooler master gp27u. if ur ever looking for another monitor in the future keep an eye out for this one, it blows all these other 4k monitors out of the park with its incredible local dimming and hdr.

@@GubiYoroi2 the colors on m32u are great but on 32 inch screen it's hard to play cod multiplayer stuff cuz it's big but as you mentioned single player games like god of war -ghost of Tsushima Bro the graphics colors (with hdr) were insane specially red-yellow-orange colors

I have the Gigabyte M32UC. Do you have HDR on or off? Im just wondering since this is HDR 400. I use SDR at the moment but people are so divided about this. What do you recommend? I mainly use the monitor for PS5. Thanks!

HDR 400 is no where near good enough for actual HDR. It would be better to use it in non HDR, I have the LG gp950 which is HDR 600 and it's debatable weather it even makes a difference between HDR or SDR. Just use SDR, any monitor below $800 can't really do HDR yet anyways

many poeple forget one important thing when they answer a question like yours. let me give a classic example... Take The last of us for instance, activating HDR in PS5+your monitor will make the game more enjoyable. let me explain... the last of us uses a lot of shadows when in buildings and such, even if you won't get more colors with HDR on you will certainly will see everything in dark places. try it and you will know what i am talking about.

Any monitor which doesn’t have mini led backlighting or is not an oled you should disable hdr at all times. The hdr on these edge-lit displays are just paper specs. It may look good on bright scenes but the local dimming will fall apart once you have both bright and dark elements in the scene. The result will be horrendous blooming and a washed out image.

The impact of HDR is not really dependent on peak brightness, as many people will mistakenly tell you, but more on contrast ratio. 400 nits of peak brigthness can be plenty for OK HDR experience...if the monitor has reasonable contrast ratio. It will certainly not be as good as with an OLED or mini LED monitor, and it will also depend on a specific content to a degree (some will look better, some will look not so great), but it will still be a noticeable improvement over SDR (due to different mastering of HDR compared to SDR and other factors). THe problem with edge lit monitors, and especially IPS ones, is that the contrast ratio is usually not great, and since the backlight runs at 100% in HDR (usually), that means the monitor will have a pretty bad black level, which will lessen the impact of HDR. However, the M32UC is a VA panel, and on those, thanks to their higher static contrast, HDR tends to be more impactful, even if it is just an edge-lit HDR400 monitor. I would absolutely turn HDR on on such monitor - I have an edge-lit VA panel and HDR is pretty solid on it, thanks to its 3800:1 contrast ratio, despite "only" being able to reach around 450 nits of peak brightness in HDR mode (and around 350 in SDR mode). So my advice would be to not listen to people telling you this or that is absolutely not enough for HDR, and just trying it out for yourself. Again, HDR will always look different, simply due to the way HDR content is mastered. Whether you will like that look or not with a sub-optimal monitor is fairly subjective, there's no right or wrong here.

I play on consoles ( series X) got the M32U for 700 euros. It's not cheap for 32" the black looks grey the colours inaccurate and washed out. ( 120 FPS and ALLM are a bonus but not very useful on consoles) and also like everyone who that monitor I got one frozen pixel. From far away I prefer my LG 27UK600 from 2018. When I return on it the colours are accurate and there is much more details visible on games. I'm very fine with it as it does 4K/60Hz perfectly and there is the VRR on it. Shame for a 32" from 2022 to be beaten everywhere

The gigabyte has poor build quality. I’ve read in many reviews that it comes out the box with dead pixels. I just had to return mine today as the stand didn’t fit the monitor right out the box. Now looking at the LG

m32u uses IPS from their official website..

@@bestchoicereview for price the m28u right now is $530 i bought the LG before had to return, not only sticks out like crazy too deep lmao but the red plastic in the back where the light show shines through is a plastic that smells horrible gave me a headache
