Giants of the North. How to Catch Big Spring Pike (5 Go-To Baits)

Right after the ice melts in the spring, pike become concentrated in specific parts of the lake, offering a unique opportunity for anglers. During this brief window, which lasts about two weeks to a month, finding these areas can lead to encounters with numerous and sizable feeding fish. Success depends on locating these key spots and using the right baits. This video will guide you on where to find these fish, why they gather there, and how to maximize your chances of landing some impressive pike during this spring fishing season.

The uncut part where you try out the crank and catch one right away, good shot!

Good informative video , curious what your water temps were Liam ? Also , do you also use plastic swimbaits much as the big pickerel tear them up here in the northeast even in 40 F water .

Thanks, Michael! The water temps were just under 50. Soft plastics work well, especially if you’re using Super TPE - it holds up well to their teeth

The only reason you caught them is cause of where you live. You would be able to catch pike like that anywhere else poser.
