I’d love to have any which one of these bikes and I’d love to have those pedals and shoes because I’m using regular gym shoes to ride my bike and it’s really kind of funky feeling and the pedals would look really nice on my bike as it’s really a boring color scheme

Hi Sam! Rockin the ‘23 Levo after watching your reviews (great bike) It’s a year of firsts for me as I went from an acoustic to electric so it just makes sense to have another first and try clips. Plus I can go matchy matchy with my wife and her crank bros. Thanks man love the content.

Great video! I absolutely like your approach on building up a bike.. and making it your own unique bike that no one else exactly has. As long as frame, motor, battery is same as upper end model.. I will probably follow your advice here, just makes sense to me for what I want. Thanks....

Hey Sam, I really enjoy watching your videos. I'm in the market for an e-bike, just haven't pulled the trigger yet. As for the stamps, pedals and shoes well, I certainly don't deserve anything, but I would really like those boa shoes because that's one thing that consistently fails on my mountain bike shoes or my laces. They tend to rip at the shoelace holes. Anyway. Have a great day!

Kia ora Sam and merry Christmas to you too buddy. I want the Stamp shoes and pedals because my shoes are falling apart. The laces are breaking up ( one’s down to nearly floss thickness). And my pedals have done their fair share of pedal strikes, they used to be black, but now are pretty much just alloy coloured now 😢. I love your channel and the way you do your reviews honestly and methodically. I am inspired to upgrade to my first e-bike by doing a Sam’s Bikes style upgrade on most likely a baseline Trance elite within a few years. Just need to save up and then get permission from the boss/wife. Cheers from Tim

I just got my first emtb, a gas gas g enduro. It actually came with pedals but they are horrible my feet bounce off in rough terrain! The crank brother pedals would be a huge upgrade! Thanks for all the great videos Sam!

Hey Sam, awesome show, like you said it’s always better when building your own bike coz your choosing the parts you want on it. I would love to have a pair of crank brothers bike shoes coz normally I just wear sneakers and anyone would love to have a little bling on their bike which crank brothers stamp 7 pedal do quite nicely.

Also I can keep them on to get some beers after riding. Looks better than my OG vans

I have always used plastic platform pedals, now they gave me my first good bicycle, an Orbea Onna 30 and I would love to be able to change the stock pedals and put my first metal platform pedals on it. Long term Candy user here, would love to try the Mallets, do they offer more support when shredding?? never tried Crank Brothers shoes, my 5/10's are falling apart and my winter clipless boots will be a bit warm when the weather picks in the UK so would love to try a pair of these. Love the videos and just got into the E-game but more importantly the E-game finally got my wife in the MTB game!! She just got a Trek Rail and has no shoes and stock pedals!! In fact she has been borrowing a helmet and she finally just picked one out.. she has dedicated her life to others on a major level and finally has just started putting herself and her health on an important level (still so she can better help others mind you!) anyways to say she deserves these more than anyone else I would never say….. but she does deserve to be happy and healthy and this would help her journey as well as boost confidence with a fun win under her belt!! I could use a new pair of shoes as I've worn through the bottom of my current pair, and if I don't win will probably start bleeding out the bottoms of my feet. I'd love to try the Crank Bros and something different from SPD. Those pedals look like they would be super efficient and offer tons of support. I have last year's Elite 3 and love it. Great value and it comes in at about 20.9 Kg with pedals.

That blue is incredible looking! The orange is striking too. I have bought from Bike Discount in the past. Delivery to the west coast USA was only 6-7 days. Crankbrothers shoes and pedals look awesome! My current shoes and pedals look like they've been beat with an ugly stick. My enthusiasm overrides my ability so often that my shoes and pedals take a beating. Of course my shoe laces figure out how to make their way into the front chainring on occasion. Usually it's when I need to put my right foot down. It's always a surprise! Anyway mate the build list you chose on this bike looks great 👍. Good point on the carbon bars and cranks.

I'm trying to get back into mountain biking after breaking my neck riding downhill. I only have the downhill bike. But looking at getting one of these. I definitely need to get some flat pedals and shoes. Because after my spinal cord injury I can't do clipless anymore. I'd love to have them.

Crank brothers shoes are hands down the best riding shoes I’ve used. Super comfy & very supportive. There’s only one brand of peddles I use & that’s crank brothers.

Fun stuff. Wish they sold just the frame, I would love that build project. Syncdrive motor with the new mag casing is wonderful. Not a fan of them going to a 400watt battery. It would be a minimum 500watt for me to be happy. Still dropping 10lbs is impressive. But again.....Good news is stores are selling overstock of old models (over supply in USA right now and under demand). I picked up a last years Giant Advanced E+2 for 3 grand off. I agree carbon handlebar and stem in kinda dumb but I feel like if you just purchase a purely downhill carbon handlebar you would be fine. Stem....not so much. I would do carbon crankarms though because of the rotating weight and how many thousands of times you do it per ride. They I am sure are quite sturdy now for mountain bikes. Remember, you are on a full carbon frame with carbon swingarm and rear triangle. Anyway, have fun with your build !!! I guess I am late lol.

After many years without a Bike I am finally back at it again and just got myself a new e-mtb. Would very much appreciate a pair of proper shoes and pedals along with my new bike. Cheers 🤘

Hey Sam, greetings from Venezuela! I’ve been using flats since started riding in 2020 and I can’t believe how fast I’m riding now. I would love to keep improving just as personal goal of mine, and believe that combo of Crankbrothers shoes and pedals are going to get me there. I've never used clipless pedals before. However, I've used Crankbrothers flat pedals and they are amazing. I would feel super confident learning how to ride clipless in pedals with a great reputation and ones I use. Riding clipless would enhance my experience to feel connected to the bike as I've read and heard in many videos. 🙏🏼

I’d like the pedals and shoes because I’ve never tried clips, I’m new back to biking after 10 years with my first e-bike. I’ve always had flats so I’d like to try progress my skills.

Sam I have been riding in Crankbrothers Mallet shoes with BOA for the last 3 yrs and the pedals. Having ridden them more than 3,000km some new ones would come in handy for the Old Age Pensioner 😂

Hello Sam! In my opinion; Cleatless shoes are usually easier to use as they do not require special adjustments or fastenings while riding. This can help make the driving experience easier and more relaxed.

Would love to win the Crankbrothers shoes to get rid of those dratted laces which are forever stiff and muddy outside the summer and never seem to pull up tight after the first few wears. The great pedals would be a fantastic bonus to keep traction on all trails and the colour is perfect for my riding colourway. Will just have to save up!

That’s what I did I got the base model and so far put better rubber and RS Lyrik and SD Ultimate and what a game changer of the bike and I rode the bike bone stock for about 70 miles and all I can say is how much more confident the bike feels with upgraded runner and suspension

I haven’t ridden clipless since like 2004 on my Kona xc shredder, so would be quite interested how it feels like throwing around the heavy ebike with clipless!

Hello Sam- Do all this bike weigh about the same? I think the top end model comes in at approx 40lbs if I am correct.

I want the crank brothers shoe and pedal combo cuz my wife lost her job and I can’t afford new shoes. My current ones are several years old and BEAT. I love flats and have always been interested in the large stamps since I have a size 13 foot but again, just too expensive for me. So what really changed for 2024? Just the colors?

Nice build indeed. Great to add your own personal touches to this. I doubt it will have the same weight when you are done IMHO. The 2024 models are not available here in the USA as of this writing as far as I can see, Not a big fan of the 2024 orange color. Much prefer the Messier/Panther from 2023.

There would a little weight penalty but the alloy rear triangle will be more compliant

I would love to win the pedals and shoes because I’m starting to get into racing and i have always dreamed of used clips instead of flats just so I can feel connected and at 1 with my bike.

After riding 30+ years on clipless pedals, those shoes and pedals had the best of chances to finally convert me 😂
