The finished bike looks great! I know your friend will be one happy camper. But I gotta say, the beauty of the bike was blown away by how great the filmwork was! Hats off to Madam Penny! So many different camera angles, so many cuts, fades and dissolves. The lighting could seriously not be improved upon. This little ending to a series could have been just a series of Before and After. But Penny made putting the puzzle back together hold the eye as if this was all something completely new, blink and you'll miss an important part of the bike's architecture that you have never seen before... even though we have all watched the previous two parts and sort of "know" this bike a little. When a film is this well put together for the viewer, the subject can be totally familiar and still be exciting to see. There was zero wish to "hurry up and show us the final glory". That's good film making and editing right there! Thanks guys for doing all this work for us. It IS appreciated!

Thank you so much for such kind and generous words of support and encouragement Tommy.. As you probably know by now, the job is all about the editing, making the content watchable by considering things like continuity and just the right amount of brevity to balance between keeping it interesting and still keeping it moving towards the finish. No experts at this by any means, just know what we like to watch, and achieve what we can with what the equipment we have.. Take care buddy.. and thank you again. D&Px

for a bike that's clearly seen it's fair share of miles I think this does a great job of trying to keep the chassis in a respectable state as the miles keep rolling by. Nice to see the bikes getting used and not wiped with a diaper.

Once again, thank you for your kind words mate.

Motorcycle dealers would cringe watching this series. You have just taken a well-riden bike and made it look better than factory fresh !!! Who needs new ? As mentioned in other comments Penny's skills at videography make the end result look flat out stunning. The lucky owner of this bike is sure to fall in love with his ride all over again. Love the mural on the bike also. That was truly "The Greatest Generation" . Cheers and good health to you both. ❤👍👍

Thanks Rick, back in the day when I worked in the bike trade we took old bikes in part-exchange and it was essential to do this kind of thing to make them saleable, not hiding anything or mis-representing a bike, just tidying it up in a short period of time so you could sell it for a half decent price... people won't buy a scruffy old bike, certainly not from a dealer, so a little make over was all if often took! Thank you for your kind words, although not on screen, Penny does play a pivotal part in what we do, couldn't do without her!

Lovely job, he'll be delighted with that. The image on the rear seat was interesting too. On my screen at the botom V so to speak there are three "Ride of Respect" stickers approx 2" in dia. One on top of the other. There were more but I didn't do al the rides, just 6 of them, through Wooton Basset as well. Saying hello to my three mates who didn't make it back from Army service. Gave me great pride to do them too. Loved every minute of it and if they were with me, they would have as well :) God Bless :)

@@Moonfleet41 That one was 2010. I missed that, apparently it was utter chaos for the riders, but 2011 was amazing, I got up to 85mph ... Shhhh ! 2012 and 2013 were great then they startyed handing out the circular stickers. I did 6 rides in all, when the police stopped controlling it, it was chaos, so didn;t ride again. I'm so grateful I live and ride in the desert southwest United States where corrosion is a mythical monster we only see on KZread channels. As always, nice work! Edit: What's that tacky foam stuff you use to fill bolt holes and other voids you don't want painted called? That looks useful.
@Moonfleet41
4 ай бұрын
Hey Paul, oh how I wish salt corrosion was a myth here too!... same as our biker brothers in Australia and South Africa where it's just red dust and the odd wet day! Sadly a factor of life here... The masking foam is a pro paint shop product designed for the job you saw, it's much like regular draft excluder your mama used to stick round the door except the foam is chemically resistance to paint... but if you can't find any, the draught excluder does work too.
We need an audio of it running that’s for sure
Bike looks a whole lot better now. I wonder how your friend reacted when he saw it all dolled up and shiny. 😄

72hrs. of graft - from you both! - Job done & it shows, big time! (hard not to on something this size) Leaving aside 'style' as just a five letter word, 80-odd years ago the best available machinery was probably a Brough Superior, basically a well chosen 'bitsa' with parts from quality manufacturers. What of this machine in another 80yrs. - Designed & built, mostly in-house, by a large factory plant dedicated to such machinery; but . . . will our grandchildren also inherit our sense of wonder? : )xx
