That’s great, me and my son fish on the Ohio river just about every weekend from the bank, he caught a 40 pounder last weekend, he was so excited! You guys do a good job! Thanks for the videos!

Wow! What a awesome night of fishing. Those were some beautiful big healthy flatheads. In the stretch of the Ohio River I fish them big ones are hard to come by anymore. But I don't work that hard at catching them anymore either. Awesome job guys it's going to be hard to beat that trip.

What do y’all think about the water on the Ohio? Think it’s getting cleaner? I haven’t fished it in a long time. Been at least 10 years. We fished around Madison Indiana.

I can only speak for my area of the river, (PA and WV) I definitely think the water is cleaning up from all the old industries back in the day. Several species of fish were on the "threatened" list back in the early 2000s are doing great today for example. Thanks for watching

Love your channel. Hey I have a question if I may and a few other videos I've seen of yours you are using hellcat rods might catch the fever. My question is what weight class of fish would you say the medium heavy hellcat Rod's handle.

I just recently started using the medium heavys. We've caught several flatheads in the 30-40lb range and had no issues. I think they would be no problems with way bigger fish. If you fish river's with a lot of current however, I would suggest a heavy or x-heavy action. The tips are very soft on the medium heavys, which I love for the finicky flathead bites and we typically don't have much current so they've been a great fit around here. Thanks for watching!!

We've caught them anywhere from 2'-50' depending on the situation, but I'd say mainly we're targeting 20-30'.

There is a paylake that juices the water that makes the fish sick then bite like crazy then get sick and die..why doesn't anyone report that

Do you mind sharing what date this was filmed? I need to get over to the Ohio, I drive down to the suskie every weekend, but its about the same distance for me to hit the Ohio. I fish a 16' flat bottom so the barges scare me lol. I dont have to worry about that where I fish in the Suskie. Ive been on the hunt for a 50 for a while now. Closest ive gotten is 47.5#, quite a few 40+ this year, been doing great , but the 50 has eluded me so far.
