Giant Hammerhead Shark and Goliath Grouper Action!

Спорт

While Fishing with Ryan we were visited by a curious Hammerhead Shark which hung around the boat for quite sometime. We were even able to tease it to the boat with a large Savage Gear Panic Popper but we really wanted no part of this large animal on our light tackle. Next we get into some Heavy Goliath Grouper action and even a Nurse Shark takes the bait. Its almost become a rule that if you come on the boat with me you're required to catch a Goliath Grouper!
Just another great day on the water...

There's really no reason to harass these awesome fish. It's a tremendous amount of stress on them and the hooks don't "Rust" out as quickly as you think. A circle hook in the guts equals a slow painful death for this beautiful fish. Catch the fish you're going to eat and leave the big breeders alone.

Shut up snowflake. They've been protected forever and they are everywhere now. Superabundant in absolutely no danger of disappearing. And by the way, you're in the food chain to. No one gets out alive. Go ask the cows that you eat or the chickens you eat or the small mammals who live in the grain Fields whether or not they feel harassed. Give me a break.

After being caught and released by an angler, fish may die for a variety of reasons. The most common causes of death are the physiological stresses caused by the struggle during capture and injuries caused by the hook or the angler. Some fish may die even though they appear unharmed and despite efforts at revival. 43persen fish death after released

I saw these guys back in the early 80's when I hitched down to the Key's just to go fishing.... Umm, to go fishing for a year or so. That's how I rolled ; no car, no problem - I brought 2 rods & some tackle. The "people" down there taught me the rest ! Love this video, TY for reminding me of the good ole' days. peace

Jew Fish shot with spear guns.around the rigs off shore from National Seashore Park in Gulf of Mexico off of Corpus Christi , Texas. This was before it was outlawed!!! A friend of mine Jim Frith.held the Texas State record with a 492 lb. fish. We use to launch our boats in the surf & dive & fish around the rigs... Good Ol'e days!!!!!

I noticed you didn’t show the part where you ripped the circle hook out of The grouper’s guts.I know you cut it out right, now you have one with A hook in it’s gut. Please stop harassing these fish just to make a video,it takes zero skill to catch one of these so your not doing anything spectacular .I’ve been a fisherman and have spearfished my whole life and I don’t take anything I don’t eat just to take a picture.Get some scuba equipment and take your pictures of them where they live. They often die from decompression being brought up from the bottom so fast.Anyway,I’m not trying to make you feel bad.I’m just giving you something to think about 👍

My thoughts exactly. Be honest with your audience and show the unethical part where you had to let a massive 400 lb fish go with a giant hook in its throat... That fish died. That fish was probably as old as you... I dont recreationally "catch and release" for this exact reason.

Those fish don't die from those hooks. The hooks rust out. The fish can still eat and go about their business. And the goliath grouper are actually over protected. In many places it is difficult to even get a target species like snapper and such up to the boat without being robbed by Goliath grouper.

Takes me back to when I was a kid so many good memories hand fishing fishing for sharks in an inflatable boat with steel liters the biggest line we could get our hands on and BIG hooks. Putting out oil slicks with herring and obviously Herring on the hook too but best time to do that at night around 12 on a full moon and high tide all the irredescence from the fish and the rivers flowing into the Puget Sound was just flipping awesome you can see so much stuff underneath you and we must have been crazy as kids to do it in a rubber boat but some of the Sharks would come up and ram us on the bottom of the boat. Stupid stuff but wow so many good memories. And anybody that thinks there's not sharks in the Puget Sound they obviously never fished for them because they will come up to the estuaries into the farthest reaches of the Puget Sound at high tide I mean big ones 3-6ft ++ right in the farthest estuary away from the Open Water but High tied yeah sharks are everywhere in the Puget sound
