I'm thoroughly impressed .. Awesome stuff here .. Anyone that loves fishing, can relate to this channel. We all think the same thing every time we walk by a ramp.. a dock.. a jetty.. a boathouse.. a storm drain next to the beach.. I love this

I love watching the hook sets in this video. He sets it with everything he has and the rod barely nudges. Catching these things in a canal like this is just bananas. I think it's more impressive than the many videos online of people pulling them up from the offshore wrecks.

So I dont know exactly how to feel about that recent update unless you provide some context/details about the impact making this video had on the location and the health and well being of those old monsters. Its not a secret. The fish was released, as the law requires. Im not sure how this guy is some brave individual, he is fishing from shore. No danger for him in fishing for this, Im not sure how his big balls of steel would matter, if they are are in fact large spheres of strong metal.

i don't think people realize what all goes into catching fish of that caliber, your knots can be perfect, your rod and line can be perfect and still be broke off in a heart beat. it takes skill to catch fish like that, awesome job!
