    ...."oh, his G2 is half an inch too short. Darn it, let's keep looking." I feel for the deer who lost his life for a commercial by an antler snob.

    Such great shot placement, and surprisingly little penetration. Then it took him a while to go down. Always surprises me. What a stalk though! Epic stalk!

    Loved every second of it. I only killed two spike mullies and this year I could only get to 72 yards to a 4-point. Full respect to you two. Maybe it is time to believe in myself and get it done in BC! Keep 'em coming!

    I will never be this picky. I'll defnitely chase a bigger buck over a small one, but I usually look around, pick out the biggest ones and go.

    Awesome hunt! I'm from Sask and don't hunt muleys but I have a good suggestion for the final bootless stalk. Why not use the felt liners out of your winter boots? I think they would work great.

    Definitely a follow up shot. The first arrow barely had penetration and then they showed and arrow with blood the entire length. Also had a high enty hole on the opposite side.

    Do yourself a favor and ditch the Vortex. I used to use it and it’s decent. But you are seeing it’s shortcomings. I went from Razor binos and spotter to Swaro atx and NL Pure and guarantee you’d be able to count that deer’s hairs from that distance.

    There are too many hunters that only look at the antlers, if you just want big antlers just look for sheds, it's these types of hunters make meat hunters look bad to those people that are against hunting like PETA! 👎👎👎👎👎

    Some editing there. Looks like there was a second follow up/kill shot with the hole on the other side of the deer and showing that arrow completely covered in blood. You can see the first arrow kick out of the deer when it took off, definitely not in there well. Maybe 4 to 6 inches tops. Not an insult to the hunter though or shot.

    Good eye fellas. It wasn't intended to be tricky editing, was just done to be tasteful. The first shot was a bit higher and didn't get the penetration we wanted, and after tracking the buck for quite a ways, we found him in a heap on the edge of the hillside. Upon approach he was still breathing so another arrow was issued in order to ensure a quick dispatch. I hope you understand why that portion wasn't shown as we felt it took away from the hunt itself. Thanks for watching!

    "Not Pope & Young?" Who cares. You have a nice, mature mulie in front of you. Appreciate the animal and the experience of the hunt you had to get to where could cleanly take him. Don't stand there and waffle because he's not big enough for the record books. Why does a big buck mean more to you than one that comes through a great adventure of a hunt?

    Why the heck blow that young buck out of there? That was a douchey move... sneak back out and don't educate them, that would be a great deer for a young hunter... he will be tougher next time.

  • @FatalImpactOutdoors

    @FatalImpactOutdoors

    Жыл бұрын

    While I generally agree with you on this, you have to understand that the specific property we were hunting on sees a ton of hunting traffic, and unfortunately the only deer that survive to be old enough to mature are the ones that become educated and smart. So while we may have educated him and made him tougher to kill for someone else, we also likely increased his odds of survival to where we could potentially see him again in a few years, older, smarter, and bigger.
