The Vest Piece with the tube is his BC or Buoyancy Compensator Vest. The tube is so he can blow air into it to manually inflate it if his tanks run dry. Those things that look like bottle caps at the shoulders are the dump valve and pressure relief valve. The weird piece with the watches on it is some sort of Navigation Console. He holds it in front of him when swimming and clips it on his chest when not. When you navigate underwater you have to hold your compass right in front of you in a straight line with your movement, and you judge distance by counting kick cycles. To be honest his gear is a little bit of a hodge podge, which makes sense as he is intended to be an adaptable figure not a named character. In truth you would use either the BackPack (and its BCD) or the Chest mounted rebreather. Not both. And you would only use the vest with the chest piece. It would have been nice if you could switch the hoses between them. Looking at mine the vest does look like it could do double duty as some sort of hydration pack. But that's still weird I thought those normally sit low on the back.

Thank you for all that info. I admit that I don’t know all that stuff that well, I’m just reviewing the figures. But I love to learn so hopefully I have a little more knowledge on the next one.

The console must be air integrated, could be early ScubaPro.The diver should have come with Jet fins too.

The "camera" thing is a TAC-100 navigation board. Usually features some combination of compass, timer and depth gauge for navigating underwater. Way back in the late 90's, the Ultimate Soldier line has a very cool Night Ops Navy SEAL which looked a lot like this one and had a lot of the same gear. I like that Hasbro went with a more realistic look for their diver figure. Can't wait to see their other 60th anniversary offerings.

Thank you. Someone else in the comments said what it is and for, it hank you guys for education me on this as I’m not a military guy but I do like to know what it is I’m reviewing if possibly when it comes to accessories.

Seeing a lot of you tubers refer to that rifle as a sub machine gun. A sub machine gun uses pistol cartridges. That is a rifle magazine so this is a short barrel rifle. Only pointing it out Punk cause I know you like to refer to weapons by the correct term. Great review as always thanks Punk!

I didn't pre-order this one, but I just got my tax return, and I thought, what the heck. The submachine gun that originally came w Torpedo is my favorite gun in the entire line, because it fits so well in the figure's hands. One problem the Classified line has, is that every single big gun that's been made really does not fit well w any figure. Like Big Ben's huge ass machine gun. It looks awesome, but he can't hold it in a realistic way. Same w Gung Ho, and General Hawk's shotgun. They can't be posed in a convincing way w it. Sooooooo many figures have that problem.

Torpedo and the black head are not the same. Torpedo’s sculpt is based on a Polynesian look. Overall many head options between this and the Torpedo figure.

Good review! Wish all the tac vests on new Joes going forward were removable.

The army has a class called “Why things are seen.” It’s the intro theory of cam and concealment. “Shine” is at the top of the list. So you are right, when it’s a military wetsuit, they would’ve looked for a flat black directly. Great review. My “want it” factor went up as expected.

I'll be adding this one to my collection. I really like the figure. However, I have one small complaint, and it's a complaint I've had with just about every frogman figure. Give them some gear that supports their weapons! SEALS dive with their fighting rigs on. Hasbro got so close with this figure. They even gave it a load carrying harness, but it doesn't have any magazine pouches. I guess he'll do fine until it's time to reload. Lol! Anyways, that's my one complaint, and honestly it's a very small one that doesn't really change my mind about this figure. Great review as always.

Im gettin this bad boy in the mail tomorrow. So excited for this figure man. The Joe team really went all out with these guys and it shows. They've really improved their figures compared to the first wave. Solid review bossman!!

Yep all the 60th Anniversary figures are main line so they will be available at Target and Walmart

nice review sir I havent gotten mine yet but its good they made it so you dont need to buy these anniversary figures if your a completionist

He's very nice, I always love generic people since I can use them easily in a lot of situations. I ordered 10 of the soldiers and this guy when they first came up for pre-order, then I also ordered 1 diver from Amazon. Amazon said it was supposed to be delivered last Sunday, but they "experienced difficulty" shipping it to me so they said I'll get mine this weekend... but I seriously doubt it since it hasn't even been shipped today. I ended up just buying an Eel last night, which is gonna be delivered on Monday to me. I wanna have fun with diver VS eel soon!
