1:36:06 That jump boost is what Jack uses in the cutscene to get to Hel, you don't control him, but he collects it and jumps over to her in the cutscene.

Wish I checked for a guide before I played this opti. I did go into the deepend and didn't realise what the assist mode was nor did I change the controls, took me a while to get used to them. Great content as always 👍🏻

Another great vid, this was a great game in places, but I couldn't be the elegant player it wanted me to be!

Great guide as always, btw Mara spelt in the objective during the boss fight is the same. Just the ‘a’ is written in a different font that appears to be ‘o’.

Thanks for another platinum opti #203 for me. Enjoyed this game a lot and am going to use this guide again to get another platinum for the ps4 version as well. Imagine it will hopefully go a lot faster the second time.

Was or wasn't??? ;) Was going to release it in 5 parts earlier, but decided just to lob it in 1!! The game is quite hard to begin and as a newcomer, you are looking more a 5 - 10 hours, all mentioned in vid

Just downloaded the game and got R is for running after restarting level after like 20 tries but man it feels really rewarding getting those parries to get it

Even with Assist Mode the game is still pretty challenging, especially the bosses

The bosses are quite easy I think, it can still be challenging with Assist, but it does make it a tonne easier, being able to take an extra hit is so helpful

Damn... would have came in handy when I tried to play this on Ps now for Ps4, but now it's gone and I'll have to wait for a decent sale. I have to say the controls is what stumped me and I got stuck, but perhaps by not having the other options on didn't help either.

It does take some getting used to, but does become a lot easier when you do. Having FoV on max and controller sensitivity helped me a lot, and of course the assist options. Assist options are great because they give more space to learn, makes the learning process less frustrating. I started the game on the Slowest speed, but then increased it as I got better. I think if no assist options, trying to learn the game would have been a nightmare, mainly because of the instant kill game over

I used this guide 2 years ago. Ghostrunner 2 will be available in PS+ Essential in May 2024. Do you consider making a guide?

Ah yea sorry mate, wasn't sure what you were referring to exactly. It's just assumptions being made, always happens with gaming. So what it is, is that the 3 x individual Collectible Trophies will not pop on Assist, but the way to avoid that is simply to make sure you leave 1 of each Collectible till last, then pick that up on Classic mode. I've noted it somewhere, there are 2 levels with the collectibles by the start. We leave those in my guide, then we just go back later on Classic. Great thing about them being early in a level is that you don't have to face any enemies on Classic!! Completely avoiding Assist Mode and Level Select is WAY over the top for the glitch. Bad advice really as Assist Mode actually really helps learn the game. Pretty much, the OP is advising you to make the game harder to avoid a glitch, when there is actually no need to do it

Quick question, do you have to level select every time you resume playing to get assist mode back or can you just continue if you're in the middle of a playthrough?

Not currently planned, just so many big games dropped recently

If I keep following this vid will I get the plat faster than the average time (as in following you and keep pausing to make sure I’m going with you etc.)? Or do I just play it normally cause obviously when I play by myself I’ll keep playing normally but following a vid will result in pausing my game and pausing your video a lot to make sure I’m going right so is it faster as a beginner with no knowledge about the game or following this vid?

Well estimates are 12 to 15 hours, so even if you follow me, you're still going to finish it in half the time death dependant

You get checkpoints mate I think which you can continue from. I think just begin when your ready and just decide as you go, I don't remember it much

@@Optinooby I just got all of the achievements on Xbox using this guide and it took me about 9 hours to complete it (this includes constantly pausing the game to refer to the guide). Thanks @optinoob. By the way do you have any plans on making a guide for the Project_hel DLC? it was a bit challenging: it took me about five hours to 100% it.

@@Territory-hn3vm The levels are actually really short so I wouldn't worry about stopping mid level. If I remember correctly, I think there was only one really long level called "breathe In". You should be fine. Optinoob's guide makes this game extremely easy

Maybe i am dumb but when i go to the Upgrade menu i cant do anything ... its all grey and i dont know if i have to a specific area like a Hub or something to change Upgrades ?! If i go to the Upgrade menu i simply cant do anything

The collectibles glitch on a certain difficulty, you must switch before getting the last, I do explain the correct difficulty for the trophy

I saw a post that the Assist Mode collectible glitch had been fixed. Does that affect this guide in any way? Also is this even true or did someone just not encounter the glitch?

Hello there and thx for the guide, i took whithout my guard the collectible you said to not take at 1:50:28, (it’s an artefact) i was moving too fast… but i didn’t take the last one… will i have to restart all the game ? I mostly do not want that…. :(

No no mate, no need to restart, yet anyway as long as you don't make a similar mistake later. What it was is at the time of doing this, there was a glitch for the collectible trophies on the difficulty we are playing on. So to avoid the glitch, we need to leave 1 if each collectible type at the end, then once the game is finished, we change difficulty and then pick up these last collectibles we avoided. Then that will pop the trophies. What I did is leave 1 collectible of each of what are the easiest and quickest to get to is all. If you accidently collected the one I left, then you just need to avoid collecting any one of the same type, then later, when I change difficulty and get these one, you will just go and get the one you left instead!!! It may have been patched, but at least hopefully that explains it all mate!

I also followed your mortal shell platinum but couldn’t kill the last boss even after 50 death, i gave up ^^.

You didn't follow me then as I explained the glitch and we avoided it.......?? If you have not avoided the glitch, then yea, you must delete save and start again

i did it on classic mode and still, two of my collectibles are missing in the level but i have them in my little pause menu?? do i have to restart?? 😭😭😭

They are as far as I know, I explain it all in the video and its actually a specific action that glitches them, a common action. In the guide, I explain along the way and make sure you dont do that action ;). Iirc, they dont pop on a certain difficulty. So you have to get all but the final collectible of each. Then you change difficulty and get the last one of each, sure that was how to avoid it

Ok I am going to download this game now.update I'm uninstalling this game it tells me to hit R1 to jump PS5 version and it keeps swinging weapon can't jump 143 deaths due to auto save where I'm mid air slashing like an idiot. I restarted whole game went against an enemy hit R2 slow mo can't hit the enemy it shoots me and dead. Hit any other button I fail the tutorial so uninstalling

that was quick, take your time on the horizon and elden ring guide for your sanity mate

I've just got platinum and did some playing at the end with other stuff to try and decide best options etc And only now have I started again to begin routing. So I will still need to run it a few times yet to have the route ironed out, maybe a week or 2 yet

Wow bet that was hard to begin?? I find the game sort off not too hard not too easy when you get used to it, it's the getting used to it which is the hard part. It's easy to get used to now though because you can run the game at a much slower speed, and then increase the speed as you get used it. Its kinda now like first you learn how to walk, then how to run. But at release, sounds like you just had to learn how to run straight away xD

I never did the DLC mate sorry, just the platinum. Main game was enough and I never actually played this on my main so no incomplete list

I died 76 times on the first level. And that was on assist mode.

Takes some getting used to mate, it's tough to begin with. It's why I started on slowest speed and just increased it as I got better

98 deaths on level 5. Since you asked, 56 minutes and 18 seconds for me, your guide saved me a bunch of time.
