GhostRider was closed from September 8th, 2015 to June, 2016 for a refurbishment performed by GCI. During the refurbishment, the ride was re-tracked, some sections were re-profiled and the original three PTC trains were replaced by two GCI's Millennium Flyer trains.

The amount of head choppers on this ride is honestly incredible.
Is GhostRider still riding as smooth as it did in 2016??? Still looks phenomenal ~~ I know California weather is not the most forgiving for wood coasters.😊

@noahkessler5500 I rode it yesterday, and it was pretty smooth, although the laterals felt kinda rough and forceful, but the ride hella fun for sure!

@@dsgaming9893Yeah when it turns it does feel rough, especially that final helix, but most of the ride is very smooth for a wooden roller coaster.

Ghostrider has been decaying since it’s retrack, but in a good way to make the new wood not obvious that they used the different types of wood for different sections and it looks like a classic woodie again
I love this ride! Have ridden it at least 15 times in the past year.
I went on this ride for my field trip and it was soo fun it was my first time and my classmates encouraged me to go on.

In my opinion it's not as good as gold striker, but I can definitely see that opinion!
Finally got back on this fab coaster. It’s what I like to call the “Colossus” of Knott’s Berry Farm because it rivaled the OG Colossus at Magic Mountain. I am so glad this crown jewel is still there. I waited 2 hours yesterday and it was worth every minute. Do they remove a block break somewhere because I swear it’s faster. It’s a fast fun smooth ride! I rode it last summer for the first time in maybe a decade and it’s What keeps me coming back. As much as I love my Twisted Colossus I hope Knotts never Iron Horses this baby! It’s fabulous as it is and should stay the classic full wooden masterpiece that it is. The only thing I wish is that it was a racer like the OG Colossus

I love how smooth it is even tho it doesn’t sound like it also I recommend being at least 5 feet to go on the ride or else the G forces will be really intense (coming for experience with having a little sister)

I've been riding it it's been the same the whole time I like it and can't wait to ride it today I'm here at knotts again lol.
i went to knotts a couple months ago for a school field trip with my friends and a little while before we left we got on this, i was gonna go front row originally but i didnt know what to expect so i went on the second row with my best friend at the time. all i remember was her squeezing my hand and screaming while i screamed along with her and felt slightly sick since we had recently had dinner, those were good times 😭
