Fascinating. It's difficult to see how anyone thought they were going to make money with this railway, even as a cross-country link. I lived nearby for 15 years and only ever saw one train - a very short goods pulled by a 3F 0-6-0

As a youngster I would stay with relatives in Blakesley, in the last house in the village before the railway. By then there was only one train a day, an eastbound stopping freight passing through Blakeskley at 10:20 in the morning (return times were varied, I always supposed due to howmany stops were required en route to Stratford). I was given a cab ride by a very accommodating crew when they had a coal wagon to shunt into the siding - what a thrill! Thanks for this wonderful method of seeing the route then and now, long after any reconstuction of the line would be possible. Only one small criticism - the "ghost train" running through Blakesley station is going the wrong way! In your view from the road bridge overlooking the station building, the train should be heading away towards Towcester.

Lovely! Anything left of Burton Dassett Warwick Road and North End halts? Are you going to go to the end ...Olney, Turvey and Bedford? Big request here!

Congratulations again on, although having a very limited audience, doing a phenomenal job for us. I would love to know just how much time and effort you put in but it has to be a work of joy for you with the knowledge it will yield little in return from views. The screen presentation is fantastic and I'm hoping 8 year old my grandson will start to get involved in looking at the old and current mapping in particular. I’m not certain how the clock dictates distance travelled. Is it old timetable related or probable speed but it matters little? If I could do a double thumbs up I certainly would.

Thanks Peter. These Ghost Train videos were sitting on my other channel but I thought they deserved to be on their own dedicated channel. I only began this channel about a month ago but I am hoping to grow this one into a huge compilation of lost lines. (These things take patience I think) as for time spent I would say two days to put together the maps and animations. Feel free to subscribe and share with any who are interested!
