While the transmission is out it would be nice to put a oil pan in that’s not dented... one of the biggest killers of these 3000gt is dented oil pans

What an engine design! No space what so ever. I like that someone actually put a 1000hp to the wheels 4G63 engine on one of these which made it lighter and improved power to weight distribution. Overall still love these 3k GTO's.

Yeah! It would have been so much better if the lettering was sanded back to bare aluminum before the clear coat!

Evan why would you not change the leads while you have ripped it down, I am just curious as the plugs and leads are in such a hard to get to place sometimes prevention is better. The intake came out well!

Stock you don't have to remove the entire intake plenum. Only needs to be moved to the side to access the rear plugs. Aftermarket intercooler pipes, looks you do. CA and all those emissions pipes 😳

For tuning I would go with Jester's Chrome ECU, it's plug and play and uses ECUFlash, same as tuning an EVO. That's what I have in my 3000gt vr4. You just need the Chrome V2 software. Really easy to tune and you can add launch control and 2 step.

Hype Tempo it's super easy! You have to enable the chrome mods/ then hit the check box for launch control and anti lag. You can change RPM ECT. If lits like changing numbers in a spreadsheet document but everything is labeled. If you need more help I can up load a video on my channel when you get the chrome setup.

Hype Tempo I'd ask if they tuned any Mitsubishi EVOs before on ECU Flash, the chrome ECU uses ECU Flash to tune. You can always look up ECU Flash on KZread to see what it looks like. It's pretty simple to change numbers and settings

The hatch supports are a pain as well just do not give up.

It is coming together really nicely. However, the car looks like it may need a 60K/120K Service tune up. The spark plugs look like they have never been changed and the lower intake plenum looks really dirty.

3000GT with around 400-430bhp is a reliable daily driver.

I think you should sand the intake manifold lettering
