Who wants to be on the road on Saturdays when there’s a K24 sitting at home. 😂👍

_Its not unreasonable for anyone to have at least 2 consecutive days off at a time, when working full time, especially if when you’re putting in over 50hrs per week. IMO you’ve already made your mind up, so consider this job as another notch of experience and a stepping stone…well done man, thanks for the ride 🤙🏼_

Good video, I totally understand. Being in the same industry as you no matter if u leave earlier or do a ton of pre cautions and extra steps to try and get home, it never works out that way. Especially being in a large company like that they try and try to give you next to no days off and or set up load with late pick up times or other circumstances. It will never change or work in our favor. Your best bet is to walk away from that kind of work. Or else you will have no life for a looong time...

Not trying to sway your decision, but your job shouldn’t control your life man. It seems like you really enjoy trucking , maybe you would be able to find a position somewhere doing day trips. Not a trucker so I wouldn’t know . My family owns a restaurant and that is another job that really eats up a lot of your time, and life. Thankfully I just finished my degree from my local Penn State branch campus so I can start looking around for a better opportunity. At the end of the day man you gotta do what’s best for yourself! I have the attitude that you should work to live, not live to work. Positivity and good vibes my friend!

I’ve been with swift for a year and I know people flak on them and everything but I’m OTR doing refrigerated and believe it or not, I’m home 99% on time. The pay isn’t the greatest but they do care and many dedicated opportunities. I came very close to start training with Roehl but they went on a hiring freeze so that’s why I’m with swift and not looking back.

Broski, get a hazmat cert and haul tankers. Home every day, off 2 days a week, and more money. Smarter not harder.

Trucking isn't what people think it is. They think all you do is sit in a truck and make great money. It's way more than that, it takes up all your free time. People aka 4 wheelers have no respect for truckers. So you have the stress of dealing with the idiots who can't drive, sitting at location not being paid to sit, working 6 days a week for a total of 70 hours. The government kills you on taxes so yes you make good money but barely see half of it. My advice for anyone looking to get into Trucking is to stay away, your life is on the line everyday thanks to poor drivers. I'm trying to find other options and get out of Trucking myself

Just pull out whatever recording equipment you have and start from that. A GoPro is where it’s at small, easy to use, and good Megapixel camera.

@@TheGerbsteve appreciate the advice! At the moment I just got my phone. I’m currently at home right now waiting to be assigned a truck lol hopefully it’s soon cause I’m ready to get to work but I’ve been really enjoying my time at home being away for 2 months was pretty rough but definitely something to get used to as I’m a Roehl national driver.
