I love this video, I'm so glad your flourishing as a person based because of your dog. I had gotten a Shiba 6-7 years ago but he passed in October of last year from a long and healthy life. (He was adopted) Shiba's have gained quite a popularity since then and i'm looking into getting another one! I have not been the best lately due to being homesick and i moved across the country but this made me have hope that my life will turn around for the better. I'm so happy for you!!

Hey Anais I've watched all your videos and have been wanting and preparing for a shiba for many years. Are you able to make a video on things you wish you had done differently when Aoki was young?

Is Aoki what is known as a Sesame Shiba (one of the four varieties of Shibe)? He's beautiful. All the benefits you mentioned sum up why I've set my heart on owning a Shiba Inu, and my decision is not through rose-tinted lenses.

Very nice video. I recognized myself with my Taiko in all what you said. My taiko is also giving me incredible love and affection and me to him surely. The thing i noticed in me since i have taiko is that he comes first before me, almost like a kid. I woukd live to sleep in the wekend sometomes but i never do because i know Taiko is waiting for me downstairs to go potty. He gets his dinner before i cook mine. I allways time my outings based on the amount of hours i know he can stay home alone. He is very good with that by the way. He got to be 1 year old yesterday and he can stay alone in the house without breaking or chewing on anything. He is like your Aoki, only your Aoki knows much more trics than mine. I use your video to train taiko. I am now teaching him criss cross. Very difficult that one. Hope you can find happiness in canada or where you will choose to live. You are helping lots of people with your videos. You have bunch of followers learning from you. The best to you.

Aloha! Thank you so much for your lovely comment. Your words truly mean a lot to me! I put so much effort in content creation and sometimes doubt myself. It is tough but the journey is fun! I know that a lot of people do not understand the kind of love we have for our pups and what they mean to us. Thank you for sharing - i appreciate it!! Taiko sounds so lovely! :) thanks to you both!

Dogs truly have the ability to bring out the best in us! My dogs encourage me to stay active & fit, give me so much support through their affection, show me how to be a good teacher.. and the list goes on! It was a lovely video and refreshing subject 🫶🏻

Has Aoki been neutered? I would love to have a video about your experience of neutering (or not), and the pros and cons around this decision, such as changes on the behaviour, etc…

Our Shiba Yuki has a first year birthday. We have taken her to Italy and everyone says Bella when they see her. I guess she has got herself a new Italian name.

@@aokiandanais Honestly, I respect it. I am being completely genuine here: I was a bleeding heart as a teenager, I was a vegan and I'd cry thinking about all the poor animals, life is easier now that I limit my caring to certain species or individual animals. So I guess in a way we are the same. I actively try to be more selfish my everyday life, for example remembering not to offer homeless people food or care about them. I try to reframe the situation as 'look at that fool who made poor choices and ended up there! Im so glad I have a home and no drug issues!' so that way I feel happiness out of seeing them. I realize this comment may come off as sarcastic but I'm not joking. You changed my perspective on your actions and made me remember that I do want to change my values so that I'm aligned with how the world works, instead of being sad wishing it worked differently.
