I recently bought a carpuride unit because the CarPlay on my Genesis keeps on crashing. It works great when it works. Anyways, on the carpuride, only the music will over my car’s speakers. Waze,Maps and Google maps voice will not play on the cars speakers. It only plays on carpuride’s small speaker. Great video by the way.

Great video. This device has a lot of features. Technically it is not a head unit, just an adaptor. You still use your existing car head unit :). Just as a note, the "loud" button is a contour, or loudness button. It is designed to compensate for bass and trebel perceptions by people at low volumes, not to boost overall volume :).

You used a different camera and I looked at it on the Amazon link you provided, but that camera has an ignition wire. What did you do with that red ignition wire? You just taped it up and left it not connected?

LOL, thanks, I'm honored :D The w103 is just like the 9 inch (w901). The main difference is the screen size. Both the W103 and W901 (9 inch) have a PRO version, which is the newer model that has full bluetooth functionality. So you could connect your phone to the Carpuride unit and then connect the Carpuride to your car using bluetooth.

Even with he discount and the warranty. I just sent the 9 pro back to Amazon…so I have spent close to 600 in 24 hours…I don’t want to have a new radio installed, they want 1100 bucks! Hello, when you connected the reverse on the car ...how is possibe for this device to know that you did that and to switch to the rear camera?

The reverse camera requires some wiring. The camera knows you’re in reverse because you’ll have to hook up the wire to your reverse light. So when your reverse light gets power, the camera will get power and turn on

Does this have any advantages over the new w901 pro? Trying to decide which one is the best for long road trips, using Google maps, and using Spotify

The w901 is actually a newer product. I’ll be doing a review on it very soon. The major upgrade on the w901 is that it supports dual Bluetooth connection and the Bluetooth is more stable. This means that if your car has Bluetooth functionality, the w901 will be able to connect to the car and play music. Other than that, the w103 is simply shorter in height and will give you better line of sight if needed.

man, i didn't know what I was missing out on without Carplay and AndroidAuto. Once I saw it on my cousin's car, I had to get it for the prelude hahahah Both cars are running fine, I haven't posted any updates because there's nothing to fix... lol

its an Atoto camera, the part number is AC-HD01LR but that was included with the product. However, it seems like they have newer versions: AC-HD02LR, and AC-HD03LR

Question: if you have just one cigarette lighter power source, can you charge your phone from the carburise unit usb?

There’s a port for camera input. But you have to use a special wire to connect to a universal camera or you can just use the Carpuride camera

No you cant. You'll need an android based car stereo and those typically require replacing your car stereo with an aftermarket car stereo

It just means that the carpuride unit is not wirelessly connected to a device

I have the same carpuride, bought the exact adaptor, and bought the exact camera that you link!!! It for some reason is NOT working!!! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, make a video of how to install this exact camera you used!!! I felt like I wasted money because I installed it incorrectly!!!

Just got this unit, followed the bluetooth connection process, but it does not launch Android. The Android Auto app says Wireless Android Auto available on this car (i.e. this Carpuride unit), but the unit does not launch Android Auto. Getting it replace to see the new unit works better.

As far as portability goes, I prefer the Carpuride W103 over the Carpuride 9 inch. But if you're wondering about my most fav touchscreen radio, it's definitely the Atoto S8 Premium

I have big hands and so the 10 inch display is very easy to navigate through. On top of that, the hardware is very nice and so I don't experience any lag. Plus its android based, which means you get the Google Play Store and can download any app as if it were a smartphone

no, there is no way to access the camera view on this car stereo. The feature you're asking about is called LRV (Live Real-View). You can typically get that feature on a car stereo that is Android based which will allow you to download apps

If you wanted to use FM, you would just use your car’s radio. And no it doesn’t have DAB

I haven’t tried the ATOTO portable stereos but in my experience so far, the Carpuride is very nice, especially their newest one, the 9inch Pro. It’s just has a few small upgrades, now Bluetooth capable and a better built-in speaker

It’s a wide angle ATOTO rear camera but you’ll need a special wire for this specific car stereo. If you buy the Carpuride camera, it’ll come with the required wire. I’ve found a similar wire on amazon, I haven’t tested it out but this should allow you to hook up any universal reverse camera to the Carpuride w103 amzn.to/3N12b4Y

@@paulostyles9484 the wire is included with the carpuride camera but if you'd like to use a different universal camera, you'd have to order that wire separately because the RCA cables will need to be converted to a 2.5mm video jack

It uses fm/am to play music but if you want radio stations, you would be able to use your OEM radio or find a compatible app within CarPlay or Androidauto that’ll stream radio stations

Heh, mate, on iPhone, you used KZread Premium, which continues playing while the screen is off,f but on Android,d you use basic KZread, which stops playing while the screen is off.

This makes sense but I have KZread Premium on both my iPhone and Android device. They both continue to play when the screen is off. However, on the Android phone, the screen stops showing on the Carpuride unit because the screen mirror function is literally copying the screen. Whereas on the iPhone, it's using bluetooth to play the video and so the video will continue to show even with the screen off. I think this is because iPhone already a built-in screen mirror function

You've adviced ur subscribers. But u didn't test. Software update. Which messed by device They sent a file for updating software. But that messed my device. They can't fix it. Its simple reflasing the software back on device. Which they are not helping on.. They stopped responding to my emails. I don't know why can't they just provide proper steps in reflasing original firmware. I see positive reviews everywhere. I don't know if each and every product is perfect which is not possible in real world. You content creators should review based on all things..
