Get Well Soon - We Are Free - with the Orchestra of the Nationaltheater Mannheim
Almost exactly 7 years ago „Vexations“, the second album of Get Well Soon, was released. It is the most opulent release of Konstantin Gropper to date and it already has been performed several times with a grand ensemble, a strings- and brass-section.
On the 23rd October 2016 the opus premiered at the opera of the Nationaltheater Mannheim. It was conducted by Matthew Toogood in front of a full house and with great success.
Now, with „VEXATIONS16“ a recording of this evening is being released as a live-album. The album can be purchased as digitalIch downloaded exclusively from the 9th December 2016 until 1st of January 2017 at www.vexations16.com.
100% of the profit will be donated to the children-aid-organisation SAVE THE CHILDREN (www.savethechildren.de).

Konstantin, seine Schwester und Get Well Soon müssten längst Weltstars sein, manchmal glaube ich Deutschland erkennt seine Talente nicht.
Ich stand gerade am Fenster im Bad und lauschte den fernen Klängen der Kulturarena hier in der Stadt. Dabei erinnerte ich mich, dass ich da 2008 einen Auftritt mit sehr cooler Musik erlebt hatte. Ich wusste aber nicht mehr, wie die Band hieß. Nach einiger hektischer Recherche im Internet und auf KZread bin ich nun hier. Wer hätte das gedacht. Ich wollte nur aufs Klo. Stattdessen bin ich froh, eine 13jährige Amnesie kuriert zu haben. Nice.
Diese Kombination mit dem Orchester ist einfach genial.

Grandios, habe damals in der Volksbühne ihr (erstes?) Berlin-Konzert gesehen, waren damals ein Geheimtipp, waren vielleicht 100 Leute da. Herrlich süße Melancholie…

Perfekt! Danke. So melancholisch aber mit solchen Klang Spektrum. In manchen Lieder höre ich was ganz Vergessenes... Klänge die seit Jahrhunderten nicht mehr präsent waren...
Ein Orchester wertet jedes Lied auf aber eine sehr gute Band mit einem Orchester kombiniert ist ein Traum <3
Ich weiß nicht genau, woran es liegt, aber wenn ich Konstantin Groppers Stimme höre, sind all meine Ängste verflogen. Du bist magisch, wirklich. :-)
