Shane is one of the best in the business! Been a huge fan of his for years, the industry is lucky to have him!
Most adventurous crossover yet
Big fan of Shane, thanks for the casual conversation and spilling of information for the average grower.
Hell yea I've been following both of you guys for years!
Shane is definitely the go to for light tests mj coco is another. I have only just gone to full led I use hlg rspec and viper spec . But my mh and hps definitely have there place . Just don’t rush in! Do the research preparation and plating prevent piss poor performance
Nice one Mitch. It was great to listen to this on the way to work this morning as it wasn't visually heavy. Don't get me wrong I love the visually heavy stuff like the time lapses, but this was great to listen to while I was driving. You both actually have very nice voice to listen to which a lot on youtube don't. More of this please :).
Good one Hoocho. Shane is a very good grow light expert. Lots to learn from Shane.
Two of the best guys
Great interview.
Gracious guest, useful, practical info. Thanks.
They should make a grow light that's programmed to specific plants, for example peppers would have a certain brightness and length of time, or for others low light and shorter periods of light time
This fella is nice to listening to, ill like to see you guys chatting again.
Two of my favs on one show thank you
Great video, both channels have provided a wealth of knowledge in my search for answers. After learning about par and umols etc etc in my very young and early assessments of my own grows have found that the smaller quality lights are the answer. I have a large expensive light and for the price wish i bought 3 more smaller lights to get more spread. But, that being said, i am a tinkerer and don’t mind making a few mistakes to learn along the way. The subject is vast, but further discussion on a specific lighting setup based on a plant would be super cool. Eg. Lettuce, or whatever people most want to see. As a newbie, something I’m working through at the moment is the importance of steps taken at specific times. As a pretty hap hazard gardener, i get away with murder in the garden and have plenty of luck. A bit of a conundrum i came across recently, is specifics around nutrient requirements as seedlings and what exactly staging up the nutrients looks like through the plant life cycle. It might sound simple, but its one of those things, you dont know what you dont know. Hence my reference to being lucky in the garden. I am quickly realising a few mistakes which is driving a pretty fast learning curve, but it might be something a newbie could avoid with the right information. Also, thank you for replying to my email. Happy Hydroponic ing!
I have two aray 4 and a 600 watt fluence light yup love my aray
He loves growing peppers 🌶️ 🫣
I bought 700w migro lights last year, havent got to use them yet. Looking forward to trying em out soon :)
Top Vid.
could you use a regular led strip light with 50/50 led to light lettuce and other leafy greens and have good results?
Omg amazing!!! ❤❤❤
Can we get DWC vs Kratky video please, is that the one in background of this video ?
Nice work sir
The power consumption can be deduced from the heater in winter but at some point a decent ventilation system will be needed, it's easy to grow spores and bacteria, i did it with a just few strawberries :c Also i don't totally agree with what Shane said about the light spectrum, but only for people with higher expectations - some people can have already some experience outdoor; those will notice that warmer lights will grow longer nodes, on small trees for ex, and that the c4 ones might perform better with colder lights. If it can help any fellow grower
Thanks for the video! Since red+blue is more efficient for growing (afaik) Is there a good reason to use white light over Red+Blue other than "appearance"?
@hoocho What has been the result with using only 4000K lamps? There were good results with germination but i am curious what it does with plants that produce fruit?
He says avoid Amazon, but I see MIGRO lights on Amazon.
Man I really want to go with a Migro Aray 4 but getting it to Canada seems next to impossible for a reasonable price.
Shane is awesome! On a side note, what timelapse cameras do you use??
When one of those fancy grow lights dies, I couldn't fix it if you gave me $500. That's why I now assemble all my lights for plants or for photography from components that I can cheaply and easily replace myself should the light stop working.
When I buy a light I check what he thinks about it first.
So why does growing cannabis need so much more energy then?

Creating flowers fruits and seeds (as well as leaves) requires more energy than leaves alone.
Hello Mitchell, everything is ok I hope. I tried to reach you via messenger, via email, but no response, so I thought I'd go this way. I have 3 messages hanging in the FB group. Awaiting approval. Why wait where it was automatic before, I have no idea. For example, I have not said or done anything not done. There is even a message from April 28, 2024 that is awaiting approval. Greetings and keep on hooching, Denis
I was planning to get some migro lights but I sent about 3 emails asking the same questions and got no answer. So now I am not.

Hi, Apologies if we missed your emails. We answer all emails received within 1 working day. We also have a chat box on the website which we are on daily. We may miss one very occasionally but not three. I suspect the email address was incorrect or our email server thought they were spam.
Great Video 😊🎉 I subscribed to your channel 🙏
