The Congregation of the Fathers of Mercy, which was founded in 1808, originally under the title of “The Missionaries of France.” The community was founded for the purpose of re-evangelizing the people of France after the Catholic Faith had been subjected to years of attacks and persecution during the French Revolution. It is now exclusively an American community. The Generalate of the Congregation is located in Auburn, Kentucky. The primary apostolate of the Fathers of Mercy is to conduct parish missions and retreats throughout the United States and other countries when called upon. The Congregation also staffs rural parishes in the Archdiocese of Louisville, Kentucky.

Be angry but do not sin; (Ephesians 4:26) & also 1628 During Holy Mass, I saw Jesus stretched out on the Cross, and He said to me, My pupil, have great love for those who cause you suffering. Do good to those who hate you. I answered, “O my Master, You see very well that I feel no love for them, and that troubles me.” Jesus answered, It is not always within your power to control your feelings. You will recognize that you have love if, after having experienced annoyance and contradiction, you do not lose your peace, but pray for those who have made you suffer and wish them well. When I returned [……] St. Faustina, pray for us

Thank you, Fr. Joseph, for giving us a very clear understanding of anger that helps us change the wrong way of reacting to a challenging situation. By cooperating and doing the good lessons we learn from you, we would advance in our spiritual journey specially during this season of Lent. Thank you so much for being a good shepherd to your flock. God bless you.

When I have been angered and go to confessions, I make sure the Confessor knows I was "Jesus in the temple" angry, not hateful angry... just in case. So perhaps this type of anger isn't a sin. Thank you Father.

Tolerance and Mercy are not the same. Tolerance is a type of hatred meaning putting up with someone without helping them or engaging them. Mercy is love that meets them where they are and helps heal them for their goodness and beatification.

Vital Homily! The CHALLENGE for me is "HOW" TO CONTROL "JUSTIFIED" ANGER!!! I have NOT YET been "able" to control ANY of my Emotions; so Dear Father, HOW can I develop the SELF-CONTROL in order to be a "worthy Steward" of God's GREAT GIFTS OF FEELINGS & EMOTIONS!! Thank you for your wonderful Preaching Father❤

Be a man. You give the other person control over you when you allow them to anger you. You should have ease of authority over your lower faculties. Control your lizard brain. Remember: mind over matter; if you don't mind, it doesn't matter 🙂

@@nyccatholic2765 I’m not a priest. I was simply placing scripture verses that helped me with my emotions. Also.. the devils will set up situations that arouse one’s emotions. And they will plant ideas/thoughts into our minds. That’s is why is very important to ask God for graces of discernment of spirits. And control of thoughts which then turn into sadness or anger. I’ll pray for you for the Holy Spirits guidance within you. Amen!

@@Catholic33AD Thank you for your great insight, with which I can totally identify. And, I am grateful for your much needed Prayers. I stepped into a pool of quicksand that the Damned Devil created JUST for me. Only our Merciful Jesus God Almighty (or the direct intercession of our Blessed Mother Mary) can pull me up and out. I have no human support. So your Prayers TO THE HOLY SPIRIT are golden. Many Thanks, Sir.
