This is no joke. A guy working in deli in my neighborhood works almost 90 hrs 7 days a week just to pay childcare support for his ex wife. She took his house and now she’s asking more because she wants to send their kid to a private school. No wonder why he has to work that long hours everyday including all holidays. What I like about Kevin is that he's straight forward, even when it's painful to hear something, he still says it directly and clearly. I personally prefer such people over the sly and hypocrite ones. And now he is right again. People change. The strongest love can turn into the biggest hate. And then you'll want to have that prenup. Plus, if the partner really loves you, wants to be with you and is not just a gold digger, it will sign that immediately, and understand that everything is common just as long as the relationship exists. And that after that there should be no financial expectations; everyone leaves the relationship with what they had before.

A prenup is literally the only option a man has in modern times to prevent being financially finessed by a gold digger.

Don't get married. 15 years down the line the prenup will be dated and if she didn't agree to sign an updated postnup the court will invalidate the prenup and refuse it. Being in a world where a man is considered a second class citizen you bet it will always play against you

Unfortunately, people especially the young ones, think trust is such an expensive commodity these days. It's a backup plan. You never go into any situation with the hope or even thought that your initial plan fails, but the possibility exists. The fact that you know a possibility exists is completely, COMPLETELY rational. Anyone who talks all this crap about, "oo if you're considering a prenup don't get married anyway", mostly no couple that end up divorced are marrying just for shits and giggles, they love each other, but they end up getting divorced because of circumstances. In that situation, it's better to have your own legal precedent than to go with what the government provided. The divorce rate is 0.0027%. That's 750,000 divorces just in 2021. Out of the 750k, maybe 250k weren't completely sure regarding their marriage, but statistically 500k people were most likely head over heels for each other, YET THEY STILL GOT DIVORCED. A backup plan is a LOGICAL AND RATIONAL escape, it gives u a peace of mind in case shit hits the fan. I'm more concerned with the people that find a prenup offensive. "I love you but if the marriage doesn't work, we have a legal precedent of our own and we don't have to rely on the government". If they love their partner back then, the fact that a prenup agreement exists shouldn't make a difference, if they truly love them then they should have utmost faith that their marriage will work, and it'll be like the prenup doesn't even exist.

Significant portion of Indian households are not yet in the mindset "allowing" women to work or develope their career independently. I believe the main reason for that is actually due to the law that prefere elder than younger. The younger people get less help to the point can no longer have kid (financially).

Do not sign any contract that you did not negotiate the terms of. Pre ups are for the protection of BOTH people.

This video is for people with the American mentality. You will never see this with Muslims. We encourage getting married earlier to avoid unwanted pregnancies and unlawful sex. In Islam you can only have sex with your wife. Also some of you might think “OMG! Your religion is so violent and strict” but if you really ask yourself. The people will be given a warning first, but if they repeat, then this happens and the reason for that is so they won’t do it again. But if the people don’t get punished for the wrong actions, they will not feel guilty about what they did and they will keep going with that sin. Look at our society today without Islam, there’s chaos everywhere, except for those who are rightly guided.

Step 1. Have respect for marriage, learn about its great meaning and history. Step 2. Wait until you are mature. Until you know yourself and your partner well. Guarantee you are compatible. Also Give them unknowing test, within reason that will not be harmful, to reveal their character. Trust is most important. Step 3. Research every possible topic you can for-see needing discussion. Negotiate and come to agreements before marriage. Implement change into current relationship. Make sure you can grow together and learn how to be the best person for them at their best and worst. Step 4. Love your partner fully, nurture, listen to, support and respect them. Pick them up when they fall, build them up and never tear them down. Step 5. Get married and grow old together by always trying, always going the extra mile. If there’s a will there’s a way and remember it takes two to tango.

Traditional marriage is a religious custom for folks who have strong religious belief and livious a celibate life prior to marriage. Supposed to last till one of them dies, in health and sickness, wealthy and poverty, etc. The world has changed… everybody on Tinder doing hookups. They don’t even remember the names. I have heard some folks having 500-1,000 different hookups before 30 years. That is a lot of physical and mental mileage - wear and tear. Not able to keep commitment. Marriage has become a legal trap for a life of indentured servitude.

@@6z0 nope, neither one of us came in with money, neither one of us cares that much about money, and we just make enough to support our kids and live comfortably and be happy. Besides, we met as kids and fell for each other then and we dated for a long time so a prenup to us is just laughable

Plus you could say " I trust 100% that is why I'm will to grant you a say in it because we are in love now and want what's best for eachother..how would that be possible if it comes to a divorce?,"

It honestly depends on the relationship. If you’re at a point where you can casually ask a question without judgement, then ask. If you know your partner will judge you then that’s already your answer and you shouldn’t get married to that person

It’s simply just to secure both sides and avoid getting screwed over. I’m sorry but your comment is placed in a very arrogant and emotional narrative. Your basically saying let’s wing it, get married and if worse case scenario it doesn’t work out, that person now gets to screw you over, be wise with your time and money. An ignorant person would take your advice and run with it and end up destroyed afterward financially. It’s not out of not trusting them, of course I’m going to trust them. It’s not about trust. It’s about protection of wealth on Both sides. It’s better to be safe then sorry. One can be secure with themselves and a relationship and want a prenup, because the cautious and wise will always win when it comes to these sort of cases, the foolish will let love blind them, and things do go south, due to both sides messing up, you’ll be thankful you have a prenup. Cause you can say what you will, but people cheat, get divorces and etc. and it’s no fault of your own. People show their true colors no matter how you set it up. If you really feel you know them Great, don’t get a prenup, but it’s a good safety net either way, and why not use all the tools in your tool belt because you come first at the end of the day

In Germany you save taxes with a marriage 😅
