This quick tip is an introduction to Redshift Proxy files, what they are, and when I use them. They can be a great way to bake down assets you no longer need to edit, and benefit the render speed time to first pixel in heavy scenes. Additionally, I show my trick for overriding their materials, which has been a useful habit I've developed.
This information should apply to Redshift in other DCCs since the RS Proxy file is designed to handle translating assets between DCCs.

File > Export > RS Proxy and click the gear icon. Now you have more options for the proxy export such as only selected object(s).

thank you, i dont really use octane much the past few years so i wouldn't be the best to present stuff for that engine. @Silverwingvfx is great though, if he has specific topics you're looking for!!
